Mrs. Johnson: I've had to get rid of them because of the landlord.
Selectman Thomas : I will reserve my comments for later.
Town Counsel: Alright, unless there is someone else that has
something to say relative to. this hearing, the
evidence has been offered to the Board.
Officer Ames: I would like to .say one other thing. Keep in mind
that Mr. Binienda is a very sick man and has had
several operations on his spine and I know how
painful than is and how much pain he is in.
Vice-Chairman Garland: Mr Binienda, are you bothered by any
other animals on your walks?
Mr. Binienda: No just the Johnson dog. .
Vice-Chairman Garland: I 'm going to make a statement before
closing this hearing. Mrs. Johnson keep the dog
restrained at all times and do not allow the dog
to run loose at any time. The Dog Officer is
to pursue under law any animal that is running
loose in that area and serve a notice on the
people in accordance with the current law, Town
By-Law or State Law. It is my decision as a
Selectman to wait .until all Board members.. are
present to discuss this matter before making
a decision. .
Mrs . Johnson: When will that be?
Vice-Chairman Garland: Well Mr. Benway is out of Town right
now and it probably will not be until next
Wednesday. Again, you keep that dog restrained
at all times. It is impossible to keep the
Dog Officer down .there allthetime to see -that
the Town laws are obeyed.
We will let you know what our decision will be.
Selectman Thomas: I would like to- make a comment. It is very.
evident that you have a dog that is very protective
and can only be controlled by the family, therefore ,
the responsibility lies totally with you. .
17. Mr. John Feguson scheduled to meet with the Board at 3: 30 p.m. did
not show.
18. Vice-Chairman Garland declared the meeting adjourned .at 4: 30 p.m.
Respectfully, submitted,
La J(i'1O'1i91
Kathleen
Donnelly, C$ecretary
Beverly Tubbs , Adminstrative Secretar}
-11-
