{ Mr. Tom O' Conner met with. the Board and stated that he had read in <br /> the 'paper that the Building Int .r has stopped issuing building <br /> permits for .Phase II of the Mews and Maushop Village', dau: se they <br /> failed to meet - cer'tain requ,irements of- the . '.ire Chief and they <br /> are making an appeal to the State Building COmmissioner. He <br /> warted to know, when this appeal would - take place - and who is <br /> arranging this appeal - the Town .or New. Seabury. <br /> Vice-Chairman - informed Mr. O'Conner that. the appeal is being <br /> made by New' e abury, and they were . appealing the decision of- the <br /> Chief of 'the Fire Department. <br /> Mr. o' Conner stated that he further read that the Building Inspector <br /> was letting them, continue with Phase,-I , �nde- thcati #they were <br /> J --referring to Maushop village where permits have already been <br /> issued, <br /> vice-Chairman responsed that he thought that to be correct, but <br /> he doesn' t know for fact. <br /> Mr. O'Conner -asked why they were being allowed- to finish, if the <br /> buildings in Phase I don' t -meet the requirements. <br /> Vice-Chairman stated.- that he wasn' t knowledgeable enough of it to <br /> answer that question, and he felt that the Building Inspector <br /> should answer it. <br /> Mr. O'Conner responded that he just doesn' t seem reasonable to <br /> allow therm to continue if they are i nvi o f at i on of the safety i <br /> regulations. <br /> Vice-Chairman stated that he felt relatively certain that the <br /> Building Inspector's decision had been researched with Town Counsel <br /> before he gage it. You will have to ask the Building Inspector <br /> his reason behind it. <br /> i <br /> i <br /> Mr. O' Conner asked that when the appeal is carried forward if the <br /> Town would be represented. <br /> Vice-Chairman responded absolutely, bec .0 e even though it is ars <br /> appeal of the Fire Chief' s ruling, it is still a decision of <br /> the Town. He, isa representative of the Town. <br /> Ir, O' Conner thanked the Board. <br /> 10. Motion made by Selectman Thomas to adjourn. Declared a- vote by <br /> Vice-Chairman.
