<br /> ssosciation, came to invite. the: Selectmen to- the lighting of the
<br /> Christmas lights on Friday, December 10 , 1982 , at 7:00 p one
<br /> Board thanked Ms, Peterson for coning and will try to attend.
<br /> 2 :15 p.m,, Mr.' Donald Brown, from Precision Emergency Vehicles , Inc. , who
<br /> was the low bidder- on the new ambulance came to the -Board ' to
<br /> express his complaint which was that he' was not given the- opportu-
<br /> nity to meet -with the EMS coordinator ,to.. dis cus ' the, s peci f ications
<br /> . '
<br /> He gage his background. in .-the business as Yell as hi's company,
<br /> Chief Priestly said that he.. could, not et-- eery one, together at
<br /> ry one time. He also said that he is concerned' with the cost. and
<br /> he is trying to sage the Town sore'.money, 'but he is _really ' try-
<br /> in to' mirror' the ambulances e.xd' the 'life mecham'ically as
<br /> well as service wise* He still lieges this is the right way
<br /> to go. Sel. Garland asked Chief Priestly ihe had reviewed the
<br /> s e.ci ,cations -and i he -had ompa `ed t them. a asked, :f Did you
<br /> take the bids and compare them?" Chief r.Le tly replied that he
<br /> he had not in the sense- that Sl. Garland meant. He said he took
<br /> the s e.cifications and did review them. Sed.. Garland asked why
<br /> this company had not been allowed to meet with the ambulance
<br /> committee,. f.r. Brown said he spoke once to Paul Frazier -and that
<br /> the Chief had. been helpful. Sel. Garland questioned Chief Priestly
<br /> on the chassis- and why the box would .'t fit. ' He asked why the
<br /> module could not be trans erFed. Chief- Priestly said it would
<br /> cost more money, Sed.. Garland disagreed,, Mr, Brown spoke- on
<br /> the fact that they - have a. service man here on the Cape . Board
<br /> said that they would take this under advisement and that Mr, Brown
<br /> would be hearing from thea. Chm'. Thomas said that everyone should
<br /> t together and hat e 'a meeting the minds .

<br /> Chm. Thomas asked the Trernbletts if they. wanted to speak. They answered that
<br /> they were here to answer questions and to see how the Board holds their meet-
<br /> 40ng. They were here to observe..
