Ms-, Howell said that <br /> they will be allowed to park. the. overflow in the parking'. lot at <br /> New eabury - Shopping Center. <br /> Mr, Burke .provided the Board with a statement of Corporation- <br /> and the return receipts. from. the abutters to the premises . <br /> chin. -Garland recommended that the aso al .license be approved, <br /> subject to the applicant .obtaining all necessary. permits and <br /> inspections from the applicable Town Boards and Inspectors <br /> as required by Town By-Laws yrs ani .State -Statutes- and Regulations . <br /> Sel. Terry moved to approve. this motion, Seconded by Sel. <br /> Hanson, Motion Carri d, Board thanked Mr, Burke for doming. <br /> Hearing adjourned at 2 : 10 p.m. <br /> Chm. Garland st-ated that seeing there was time- available. before the next <br /> hearing the Hoard would start on old business . <br /> OLD BUSINESS: . <br /> 1. Board discussed the- problem with Hoophole Road and the request <br /> and recommendations- of the Executive Secretary and the Superintendent <br /> of Streets , Chem. Garland .informed the Board that he had- been. toad <br /> verbally by: the postal mi. tress that the post office will decline to. <br /> deliver mail on that street. Executive , Secretary explained that this <br /> road has- been ars on going problem ,aril that now it has become a public <br /> safety problem'. He explained that the .Town has two options . The Town <br /> c.an take the road and repair it which will cost less or we can get <br /> a petition- from outside for an article in Towh Meeting to- have Town <br /> repair the road this option will be very expensive for the Town as <br /> it will be necessary' <br /> ecessar to build a. first class road. Mr. Virgilio, the <br /> Superintendent of Streets , gave three cost estimates , $'45, 000 - -$3 ,0�0o <br /> $18, 000 , to repair the road' depending on the materials . used and the <br /> method used. He recommends the $35 ,000 m th because -this will make <br /> this road good for eight to ten years . Executive Secretary asked the <br /> Board to .app rove their.-' request to have- Mr. - Charles Rowley, Town Eng .-� <br /> neer-, prepare a cost estimate of - how much it would cost to do the <br /> permanent layout of the road and the taking: of the road. Chm. Garland <br /> asked Mr. Virgilio ghat .he is presently doing and what he ' is going <br /> to do until Town Meeting.' Mr. Virgilio said that he will keep patching <br /> the road, but- it does no good. executive Secretary said that the. Town <br /> can only do emergency repairs on that road as it , is a private road. <br /> Executive Secretary said that--he would request that the money be taken <br /> from Legal and Engineering so that if the.. Town . Engineer gives the <br /> Town the cost of the layout and repairs than an article can be prepared <br /> for next Town Meeting for the taking with funds to repair the road. <br /> He also said that it is time for the. Town to.- take a leadership role <br /> as the taxpayers should be entitled to some service. Chm. Garland <br /> accepted the motion to get a current estimate from Town Engineer for <br /> the laying out and perhnnent staking of Hoophole Road. Motion was <br /> made by Sel . Hanson. Seconded by Sel. Terry. Motion Carried. <br /> 2 : 30 p.m. - Recreation Director, Wendy Rubin, was present to discuss the <br /> issuance of a card to South Cape Resort, Club for their condomi- <br /> nium users , Sel. Hansom recommended a coupon boob be issued <br />
