Stuart Peoples , Ernest Virgilio, Ri ha.rd William and Albert <br /> Hollander, <br /> Chairman Garland convened the September 21, 1983 meeting of the Selectmen <br /> at 6 : 00 p,m& <br /> Motion by Sel. Hanson to approve the minutes of the following meetings <br /> Regular Meeting of September 14 , 1983, reconvened meeting of September 14 , <br /> 19 and the Public Dearing f' September 16 , 1983. Seconded by Sel, Terry. <br /> This is a motion. <br /> HEARINGS AND APPOINTMENTS <br /> 6 :00 p,m. -- Chan, Garland convened the continuation of the hearing on <br /> . . . Realty, Inc. d/b/a Quashnet Valley Lounge liquor license <br /> and asked ed the Executive Secretary, Mr, Joseph Murphy to explain. <br /> Mr. -Murphy explained that LaCava trust had applied for a transfer <br /> of the liquor license to the Board and the .B.C'.C. had refused <br /> to allow the transfer as Mr. Dina had not paid his taxes . . <br /> The Selectmen at that time called a public hearing on Mr. Umina' s <br /> liquor licenses. Mr: Thomas Devane of LaCa.va trust' was present <br /> at the hearing and said that the problem would be resolved. <br /> The Board at that time alloyed Mr. Devane continuance until <br /> September 21 , 1983 to pair the taxes and het' a.. erti fi ation <br /> from the .B.C.. . that the transfer would be approved. <br /> Mr. Devane is present for this meeting and explained that he <br /> had paid the taxes , Mr. Murphy stated that he had veri,fied- this, <br /> Mr. Devane said that when he carried the papers to the A.B. <br /> C.C. he was informed that he needed the form 43 from the Town. <br /> Mr. ik2urphy said that this form had been mail d to thea on this <br /> day and for that reason he recommended dferinc this matter <br /> for two weeks . <br /> Sel. Hanson said that Mr. Umina was not present therefore we <br /> could not conduct a hearing as this concern is his . <br /> Mr. Deane said that it was his fault that he wasn't present <br /> as he told - 1�r. Umina that he would represent hire at this meeting. <br /> Sel. Hanson said that it is 'fir. ' mina's responsibility to take <br /> care of this. He stated that this natter already had a con- <br /> tinuance and questions whether the Board should allow this <br /> operation to continue illegally. <br /> Mr. Devane said that he tried -t . het everything resolved, but <br /> the procedure .is in the Town's hands now.
