Page 1 .
Nor. woods : I don' t think you understand what I have said for the last half
hour. - You know, you' ve got a problem in this town. "
el. Terry: we have alot of problems but we have alot of good things too.
So whatever. . "
Mr. Woods : I 'm not saying you don,f t. But we can '.t wallow in that-, You
know we. have to recognize the problem and try to resolve it.
And I made a living- doing that for thirty years , doing business
with Appeals Boards , . taking- out permits, I use to take out 10
permits a year. One hundred permit every year consistantly with
no problems . You abided by the. rules , you submit these plans-1, as
to the different communities throughout the state-, Needham for
25 years , Needham, Newton, welsley, western, Dover, Lincoln,
Brookline and Boston, and you did what everybody wanted done,
you submitted the plans , and in two to three days , bingo you
got the permits. If there is a question you resolve it':
sei. Terry: 'r Most of that stuff is determined by state law. "
chm. Garland: " Paul I want you to leave hero with a clear understanding
that we want to r.eso-lire this just as much as you do.
It may not reflect on what we do and s y here for the more t
we weren' t as concern- as you are, but in all fairness' we cannot
solve it right at this particular moment. You are going to
have to give us a day or two to get some of the answers
because we have listened to you I think quite patiently
and very willingly and reveal to us and Stade certain statements
which we accept, but give us the oppoktuni ty to go back and
find out what the other side is and than we can come back and
say to you or somebody will say to you and give you an answer,
but we can' t right now. "
Mr. Woods : 'r Okay, I f m sure what you say is very accurate, but may I suggest
with all the parties involved sit down and talk about this . +1
M. arland; " If you get what you want . . .
Mr. Woods : Between he said, she said, . . r1
Ch
rrt. garland: ' If you get what you want which is to get that permit free and
clear, no strings no nothing that is going to satisfy your
requirements , right?r'
Mr . Woods : r No. "
Chan. Garland* wait a minute I 'm talking .about your specific re Aire tents. "
Mr.. woods : Okay, the answer to the question is no. "
hm. Garland: You want something more than that permit?"
Mr, Woods'.- 'r I 'm concerned about this kind of behavior in the town because
I happen to live here. t
hm, Garland: " Finer but realistically what concerns you is that permit.
Let us see if we can clean this other business up,, "
