r,► r } <br /> BOARD OF SELECTMEN MEETING <br /> December- 21 , 1983 <br /> PRESENT: chairman Chester A. Garland, Selectmen Willard L. Manson and Richard <br /> L. Terry. Town counsel Joseph J. Reardon and Executive Secretary <br /> Joseph F. Murphy. <br /> GUESTS : Ms. Jane Peterson, Attorney Boudreau, Sergeant .filbert Gonsalves , <br /> Charles Buckingham, Mr. & Mrs. Wasil, Fire Chief Hartin, Albert <br /> Hollander and B. Jean Thomas. <br /> chm. Garland convened the December- 21 1. 1983 selectmen ' s meeting at 6 : 00 p.m. <br /> Motion by Sel. Danson to approve the minutes of the Administrative Meeting <br /> of December 12, 1983 and the minutes of the Regular and Executive Meetings <br /> of December 14 , 1983, Seconded by' chm. Garland. This is a vote, <br /> APPOINTMENTS AND HEARINGS : <br /> 6 : 00 p.m. Chin. Garland said that- if no one objected the hearing on Sergeant <br /> Gonsalves would be postponed until. Town counsel arrived. There <br /> were no objections. <br /> 6 : 15 p.m. - chm. Garland stated that there would be no hearing on Mr. <br /> Peter Durmer as the Conservation commission had received his <br /> resignation this morning. Board a- ked that the customary <br /> letter of acceptance and regret be sent. <br /> Board went to Old Business. <br /> OLD BUSINESS <br /> 1. On the memorandum from the Executive Secretary regarding the temporary <br /> repairs to private roads , chm, ,Garland explained that the Executive <br /> Secretary had capsuli zed the'. whole thing, Executiv Secretary explained <br /> that there had been alot of misunderstanding and he hoped this would <br /> clarify the matter. Motion by Sel. Hanson to adopt the Executive Bede- .-_--,._=: <br /> t ry'- . ecommendati .sn tempora y:-�r� pairFs- to_-:pr to r 'ads,._-_ S _ nded' <br /> /,-'by Sel. Ter- `y. Motion Carried. Executives Secretary Said that,.-.al-1,.- - <br /> J'Associations would be sent a letter explaining h w the town would be <br /> handling this matter. <br /> 2. ) On the liquor regulations the Board decided to defer this matter for <br /> one week. <br /> 3. Motion by Sel. Terry to approve the request of Ma Glodrkners for live <br /> entertainment via piano from p.m, to 1 : 00 a.m. for their Winter <br /> hours. Seconded by Sed.. Danson. Motion carried. <br /> NEW BUSINESS: <br /> 2, On the memo from Dave 'Roddy -regarding the reimbursement town by-law, Chat. <br /> Garland said he does-.riot -disgree with the concept but he feels this should <br /> be defered until some of the rough spots are worked out in the phrasing. <br /> Board concurred,.- <br /> 3. <br /> oncurred:3. Motion by Sel. Terry to appoint Laura Majla to the cranberry Bog Advisory <br /> Committee, Seconded by Sel. Hanson. Motion Carried. <br />
