Murphy and Town Counsel Joseph J. Reardon. <br /> GUESTS: Arlene Hoxie, Monica McNally, Ewe Virgilio, Wendy Rubin and <br /> Lifeguards from Attaquin PArk <br /> Selectman Hanson convened- the meeting of August 8, 1984 at 7 p. . <br /> Selectman Terry rwved to accept the minutes of July 31, 1954 administrative <br /> meeting, August 1, 1984 regular meeting and July 1, 1984 executive sesaion. <br /> HEARINGS Aim APPOI NTMEN'IS <br /> 7;00 - Mr. French from Com Electric was in to seek permis .-ion to provide <br /> electric- service for the PUbl is Works Garage. Mr. French stated . <br /> that work should begin by next week. <br /> Selectman Terry roved to approve the petition of Com Electric to <br /> provide electric service to the Public Works Garage. Selectman <br /> Thomas seconded. l l' were in favor. <br /> 7:15 - Chief Frere was scheduled to discuss law enforcer-entt Attaquin <br /> Park,. Wendy notified the office that the law enforcement <br /> problem had been resolved. <br /> Wendy asked if the time could be used to di scu s- problems she <br /> was having with regards to people parking along property beside <br /> the State boat landing. Ms. Rubin feels it is very difficult <br /> to enforce town residents getting stickers when non-residents <br /> are parking illegally. Also Ms. Rubin feels the lifeguards are <br /> no loner effective as they have to deal with constant harassment. <br /> Selectman Hanson feels lifeguards should be pulled leaving the <br /> gate attendent and the police. Selectman Term and Thornas agreed. <br /> Selectman Hanson asked that ambers of the Attaquin Park TAsk <br /> Force be notified that it is the wishes"' of the Board to re-activate <br /> the conidttee. <br /> OLD BUSINESS <br /> 1. Selectmen 'ferry reminded the Board that two delegates are still <br /> needed for the Otis Task Force. <br /> NEW BUSINESS <br /> 1, Selectmen were in favor of the recomrendation made by the -Town <br /> Solid Waste committee to sign a non-binding letter with SENDS. <br /> Selectman Thomas feels there is a need for a solid waste committee <br /> working with Board of Health within the T6wn. <br />
