a <br /> BOARD of SELECTMEN <br /> DISI IST I S T RAT I vE MEETING <br /> September 18 , 1984 <br /> at 8 :00 a.m. <br /> Present were Selectman, Willard L. Hanson; Selectman B. Jean Thomas w and <br /> Executive Secretary, Joseph F. Murphy. Selectman Richard L. Terry is <br /> on- vacation. <br /> 1,,- Mr. Murphy discussed a report of violations at eight alcoholic <br /> beverage licensees in the town. S'el. Hanson felt he wanted to <br /> know more about the undercover agent before proceeding with action <br /> against,:the eight licensees. <br /> The Board re viewed ' the report of Chief Frye relative to the Channel <br /> Club and voted to schedule a public hearing to offer the Channel <br /> Club the opportunity to show cause why the all-alcoholic beverage <br /> License of Channel Club In.c. d/b/a Club 55 should not be modified, <br /> suspended, revoked or cancelled. Said hearing will be conducted <br /> j at 7 :00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 3, 1984 , for the following <br /> reasons: 1 . Channel Club has failed to provide all materials <br /> needed for the Cormonwealth to act upon a petition for change <br /> of manager. 2. Channel Club has not exercised its license and <br /> has failed to notify the Licensing - Board that it has closed. <br /> 2.- The Board discussed proposed changes in the inspection office. <br /> Selectmen will meet with the Personnel Board, September 24 , <br /> 1984 to discuss the proposed transition. Mr. Murphy was .directed <br /> to request a transfer from the Reserve Fund for additional <br /> salary of Mr. Boyd. <br /> 3,1 - Mr. Murphy suggested Selectmen review the report of the Shellfish <br /> Warden submitted September 3 . 1984 and schedule a meeting with <br /> the Warden on a Tuesday morning to take action on recommendations. <br /> The Board was advised of a meeting with D.E., .E. relative to <br /> the shellfish closing of the Pashpee River. The meeting will <br /> be held at 10 : 00 a.m. on September- , 19844 <br /> .- The Selectmen received copies of the final_ report 'on the rgani- <br /> ational structure and staffing needs of the -Mashpee Police De- <br /> partment from Research Management Associates . <br /> . - Selectmen voted to include on the warrant of the Fall town meeting <br /> any changes needed in the zoning by-laws in connection with the <br /> flood insurance program. <br /> Mr. Murphy proposed to the Board an arrangement with Reel Brook <br /> Corporation by which the- .town would perform work on shoulders <br /> of Monomoscoy Road and Red Brook load at the expense of Red <br /> -Brook Corporation in exchange for a stipulation from Red Brook <br /> Corporation that it wuld not seek damages on any land taking <br /> along the length of iced Brook Road if and when the town Tneeting <br /> voted to accept Red Brook load as a public way. <br /> 4x <br /> ,YY <br /> 3 <br />
