IL <br /> Page 3. <br /> P, TMEI TS AND HEARINGS continued <br /> 7: p.m. - from the Assessors, Building Inspector and Superintendent of streets <br /> on the value-. of this building, both the Assessors and Building <br /> Inspector' s replies were that the building had no value. Mr. <br /> Vi rg i l io l s response was that there was probably $ worth of <br /> materials there but it would cost approximately $2000 to have it <br /> removed. Board moved to allow Mr. Delory to remove to the ground <br /> the old building- at John Is Pond and the work be completed by March <br /> 15, 1984. <br /> 1:15 p.m. -- Mr. John Peters, Jro , President of the Tribal. Council and some <br /> of the Council members were in to inform the Board about their <br /> application for permits to transport contaminated shellfish to <br /> w <br /> their shellfish grant, Mr. Peters apologized for not Letting <br /> the Selectmen ]snow what was going on. Mr. Peters read a letter <br /> which is attached to these original minutes regarding their <br /> proposal to the Marine Game and Fisheries, Mr, Robert courtemanche <br /> asked Mr. Peters what type of contamination' the transported <br /> shellfish would have. Mr. Peters said the Council did not know <br /> at this time.-- Mr, Peters was asked ghat kind of shellfish they <br /> planned to bring in.. Quahaugs are the shellfish that they want <br /> to put into their shellfish grant. They were asked about the <br /> quantity. They replied 100 bushels. Board asked how 'big their• <br /> grant was, They replied about 5 acnes. They were- asked hover <br /> long i t takes for the shellfish to purify itself. Three to <br /> six months was the reply, The Council members said that they <br /> would have the grant policed by their own members. They asked <br /> that Mr., Courtemanche, shellfish warden, help with the policing. <br /> They also stated that if the state warden was available they <br /> would help and this would cut their cast. The council was asked <br /> by Sel. Terry why- they buy contaminated shellfish rather than <br /> seeding . They replied that there was a big difference in cost* <br /> One member said that after sic months they are ready to be taken. <br /> Board did not approve or disapprove. Thanked them all' for coming <br /> and keeping them informed. <br /> Board returned to old business: <br /> . Board stated that there was no action needed on the memorandum from the <br /> Personnel Board regarding the evaluation forms. <br /> 4, fir. Murphy, Executive Secretary, explained the letter from Ms. Anthony <br /> regarding the state appointment of Mars. Priscilla Ham.' to the -M sh ee ; <br /> Housing Authority. Mr. Murphy said the letter also stated that the <br /> nomination of Mrs. Ham was the - first time the State had been aware of <br /> the vacancy. <br /> 5. ) Request• from Mr. Delon was discussed under appointments* <br /> On the letter from Torn counsel regarding articles for Great Oak Road/ <br /> southaP a Beach, Mr, Murphy explaind that' if the state is ready than <br /> the articles will be also. Board agreed to include the -articles on <br /> the annual town meeting warrant. <br /> i <br />
