BOARD OF SELECTMEN MEETING <br /> February-22 , 1984. <br /> PRESENT:T: Chairman Chester A. Garland, . Selectmen Villard L. Hanson and 1 <br /> Richard L. Terry, Town Counsel Joseph J. Reardon and Executive <br /> Secretary Joseph F., Murphy. <br /> GUESTS : Mrs, B, Jean Thomas, Mr, Ernest Virgilio, Mrs * Vernice Polka, <br /> Mrs, Jane Labute and Mr. Frederick Blythe. <br /> Chm. Garland convened the February 22 , 1984 Selectmen' s meeting at : o . p.m. <br /> Motion by Sel. Hanson to approve the minutes of the February 14 , <br /> 1984 Administrative Meeting and the minutes of the February 15 , 1984 <br /> Regular Meeting, Seconded by Sel. ferry. Motion Carried: <br /> OLD BUSINESS : <br /> 1. Motion by Sel. Hanson to appoint Mr. Kenneth Anderson to the Park <br /> and Recreation Committee. Seconded by Sel. Terry. Motion Carried. <br /> Executive Secretary, Joseph F, Murphy explained that Mr. Anderson <br /> had been recommended by the Attiquin Park Committee and that Mt, <br /> Anderson hard', previously asked for some time to think about whether <br /> he wanted -to serge on this committee or not. He has decided that <br /> he would like to serve. <br /> NEW BUSINESS <br /> 1. ) On the recommendation of the Personnel Board, Sel. Terry moved to <br /> appoint Nis. Diana Lund- board secretary. Seconded by el, Hanson, <br /> Motion Carried. <br /> . on the Self Reliance Corporation request for an article for town <br /> meeting Executive Secretary explained that back in January they <br /> had requested the procedure for an article to be included by petition. <br /> The information was forwarded to , them and the article was sent to <br /> the Board, however no signatures were included on the petition. <br /> Chm. Garland stated that a study was done by the .v.o.C.C. and they <br /> found out that there are 138 organizations of this kind on the Cape. . <br /> Chi. Garland asked that this matter be deferred for one geek to <br /> allow Sel. Terry to speak to the director again on this matter and <br /> Chm. Garland will find out if they have applied to the County also. <br /> Chm. Garland asked if there was any other business. <br /> Board approved the roll of payments for the veterans District that <br /> included the name of Albert Gonsalves. <br /> The Board received the recommendation for Actinq Fire Chief from Chief <br /> Hartin and decided that such a matter including the gate of compensation <br /> was administrative in nature and should be decided by the Executive <br /> Secretary <br /> Sei, Terry asked if Ms. Dubin had anything to report on the beach aides. <br /> Mr. Mur said that she had not cone back with a proposal. yet and that <br /> p y <br />
