Reardon and Executive <br /> Secretary Joseph Es Murphy. <br /> GUESTS: Mr. Gerald Sprout, Mr, William Thorns and Mr. Charles Buckingham& <br /> 6 :00 p.m, - chr . Garland convened the Selects en t s meeting of February 29, <br /> 1984 . <br /> Motion by Sl. Hanson to approve the minutes of the February 22 , 1984 <br /> + Regular Meeting. Seconded by Sel. Terry. Motion Carried, <br /> APPOINTMENTS AND HEARINGS: <br /> 6 :00 p.m* - Mr. Murphy, Executive Secretary, introduced Mr. Sprout and said <br /> that Mr. Sprout loss four of his dairy goats by a dog or other <br /> predator and had requested a meeting with the Selectmen. <br /> Mr. Sprout said that In order for him to be reimbursed by the '- <br /> County <br /> he 'County for his animals he needed to have �a meeting with the 4 <br /> Selectmen. He - stated that he had to follow procedures. <br /> Mr..' Murphy explained that'. the procedure is that when an incl--- ; . <br /> dent .like this occurs. the . Ghm* of the Board and a designated. .y <br /> person ha med by Mr. Sprout had to review the remains.. C n ori, <br /> tnately the remains have been buried but as there is a report . <br /> from the police department this may be sufficient. Mr. Murphy. <br /> also explained that the reimbursem nt may not be much as it <br /> goes by daily weight per- pounds. <br /> Mr. Sprout said that he had purchased one of the goats for <br /> $3000 <br /> Mr. Murphy said- that all this could be taken care of adminis- <br /> tratively <br /> d inis- <br /> tr•ati rel and that he would get the forms from the Counter and <br /> get in touch with Mr. Sprout. Hanson referred to the article in the Enterprise where <br /> Mr. Sprout was quoted as sabring that he would shoot the next <br /> clog or animal that came onto his property. <br /> Churn. (Attached to original minutes, <br /> Board thanked Mr. -Sprout for coming. <br /> OLD BUSINESS : <br /> . <br /> Executive Secretary said that the r.ec e t from the Self Help Reliance <br /> Corporation to have the Selectmen insert- an article at the special. town <br /> meetin . had been deferred for one week to allow ohm. Oarland to do - <br /> some. research on the ratter.. Sel.
