BOARD of SELECTMEN <br /> ADMINISTRATIVE MEETING <br /> March 18, 1984 at *oo a.m. <br /> PRESENT : Chairman Chester A., Garland, Selectmen Willard L. Hanson and <br /> Richard L. Terry, Executive Secretary Joseph F. Murphy. <br /> r. <br /> Board reviewed budgets prepared by the Executive Secretary and approved <br /> all budgets with minor modifications and asked that they be forwarded to the <br /> Finance Committee. <br /> Board spent a considerable .amount. of time discussing the proposal for <br /> a full time legal department for the torn. Selectmen decided to accept <br /> the proposal dated March 5 ,, 1984 from Town Counsel . The essence of the <br /> proposal is that Torn Counsel would be available on Thursday of each week <br /> in town hall from 8 : 30 a.m. to 12 : 30 p.m. alt a fee of $9 , 000 per year. <br /> The Executive Secretary wa-s directed to prepare a schedule so that key <br /> officials would be able to talk with Counsel on a regular basis and he <br /> would be available for consultation. Board also directed that this be <br /> implemented as soon as possible. <br /> Board reviewed the proposal dated January 30, 19 relative to the <br /> Natural Resources Department. Board' directed the Executive Secretary t <br /> implement this proposal with the consolidation of the Natural Resource <br /> Depart . The Board wants an individual who could e the Shel l f i-sh <br /> Warden, Harbormaster, Dog officer, Herring Warden and he would also have <br /> he responsibilities of the -aterwa rs patrol.
