BOARD OF SELECTNEN <br /> MINUTES <br /> WEDNESDAY, JUNE 65 1984 <br /> PRESENT: Chairman Hanson, Selectmen Terry and Thomas, Executive Secretary <br /> Joseph Murphy and "Town Counsel Joseph Reardon. <br /> GUESTS: W. Brown from New England Telephone, Nor. French from Com Electric, <br /> Arlene Hexie, Vernon Thomas, Ernest Virgilio and .John Ferguson. <br /> 7:00 p,r-": Chairman Hanson convened the meeting of .June 6, 1984. <br /> sed.. Thornas moved to accept the minutes of May 30, 1984. Sel. 'Terry seconded. <br /> Notion carried. <br /> APPOINTMENTS AND HEARI N s., <br /> 7:00 - fr. Brown explained to the Board the plans of New England Telephone for <br /> pole relocations and new poles on Ashumet Road,, <br /> NSC. Virgilio suggested that the poles be pint back further from the road <br /> or even have the utilities brought in underground. <br /> Nor. Brown pointed out before the utilities could be brought in under- <br /> ground the Town would have to accept Chapter 166-22D with ...sur change <br /> of 2 percent. - <br /> Mr. French from Com Electric pointed out that he would be happy to <br /> come ,out and speak with anyone interested with regards to Chapter 166-22D. <br /> Sel. Terry would lie to see a joint meeting set-up. <br /> Sed.. Terry moved to allow the petition of New England Telephone. Sel. Thomas <br /> seconded. All were in favor. <br /> :1 - The Selectmen's meeting moved to the cafeteria to conduct the Revenue <br /> Sharing Hearing. <br /> Chairman Hansom read the publication pLibl.i shed in- the Falmouth Enterprise, <br /> Mr. Murphy explained that there is $30,000 in Revenue Sharing which -should <br /> be used to cover the Firefighters contract, <br /> Sel, 'Thomas would like to see anything that may{ be left over be used.for <br /> the study of As hume t Pond'. <br /> Being no further discussion the hearing adjourned at 7:25 and. the Selectmen's <br /> meeting re-convened in the Selectmen's office. <br /> i <br />
