BOARD OF SELECTMEN <br /> MINUTES <br /> WEDNESDAY, MARCH 1 , 1955 <br /> PRESENT: Selectman Hanson, Selectman Thomas, Selectman Terri, Executive Secretary, <br /> ~Joseph F. Murphy-. and Town Counsel , ~Joseph J. Rardon <br /> JESTS: Monica McNally, Judy Howell , Torn Fudala, r lane H xie,�..Erni e,,v�i r ilio' <br /> Kenneth Anderson, .John Ferguson, Jane Peterson <br /> Selectman Hanson called the meeting to order at 7 p.m. <br /> Selectman Thomas moved t0 accept the minutes of March 5, 198,E (administrative meeting) . <br /> Selectman Hanson seconded. All were in favor. <br /> APPOINTMENTS AND HEARINGS <br /> 7:00 - Selectmen met with 'Torn Fudala to discuss the two, articles submitted for -the <br /> special town meeting dealing with an override of Proposition as well as a bond <br /> issue in the amount o - two million dollars, Said proceeds would g o in an account <br /> for the purchase of public lands and recreation fund. Mr. Fudala pointed out that <br /> after reviewing the Mass. General Laws has revised both articles to override <br /> 2�2- <br /> and the proceeds of the bond issue to have all funds deposited into a Conservation <br /> fund. <br /> Selectmen Terry moved to substitute the two revised articles and also ask town counsel <br /> to review them. Selectman Thomas seconded. All were in favor. <br /> OLD BUSINESS <br /> 1 Selectmen deferred the notification from the Division of Marine Fisheries to this <br /> we . Selectman Thomas advised the Board that she has written to Mr. Coates asking <br /> for the results o f- latest testing and a Iso requesting anothx meeting to get to the <br /> b ttorn of this problem. <br /> . Selectmen received communication from the Superintendent of Schools thanking the <br /> Selectmen for their interest and support realtive to the school reeds. He also <br /> expressed the desire of the members of the school building needs committee to continue <br /> with the building committee. <br /> . Selectmen received a letter from Weston & Sampson Engineers, Inc. requesting <br /> the Selectmen designate either the Executive Secretary or a' Se'leetman to file <br /> applications for State Grants, This request is to authorize one person to act <br /> in behalf of the town relat-ive to this matter. <br /> Selectman Term moved to empower the Executive Secretary to apply for state grants. <br /> Selectman Thomas seconded. All were in favor. <br /> 4) . Selectmen received two communications from Wendy Rubin relative to Beach Sticker <br /> Saps and Beach Sticker Regulations. Selectmen deferred action until Tuesday, March 1 , <br /> at which time the Board will meet with Ms. Dubin. <br /> Selectmen had no further old business. <br /> NEW BUSINESS <br /> 1) . Selectmen discussed establishing a meeting date at which tirne all department heads <br />
