i <br /> AHD OF SELECTMEN <br /> MINUTES <br /> TUESDAY, JULY 99 1985 <br /> ADMINISTRATIVE MEETING <br /> Present: Selectman Terry, Selectman Thomas, Executive Secretary, Joseph F. <br /> Murphy Selectman Hanson absent) <br /> Guests: Al Hollander, Deputy Cooper, Chief Frye and Monica McNally <br /> Mr. Murphy pointed out the purpose of this meeting was to discuss water supply, <br /> dredging and communications between the Harbormaster and Police Department. <br /> Mr. Hollander explained that he is having trouble getting information from the <br /> police department with regard to stolen boats. <br /> Deputy Cooper explained that they do not have a list of stolen boats they are <br /> on a card file and would take great deal of time to prepare a list. <br /> Mr. Hollander stated he is only looking for any boats reported stolen since <br /> July 1.. The Police Department agreed to get together the information and also <br /> to report to Mr. Hollander by phone or radio each time a boat is reported stolen. <br /> Mr. Hollander also requested a badge of some sort for the Harbormaster and <br /> Assistant Harbormasters. Mr, Hollander was asked to colpo up with the information <br /> he wants on the I.D. card and the Police Department will take- the pictures for <br /> the I.D. +s. <br /> Deputy Cooper suggested Mr. Hollander contact the Division of Motor Boats for <br /> guidance as to his duties, <br /> Selectman Terry also suggested he sit down with Brad Fish at the Police Department <br /> for assistance. <br /> The Board also discussed with Mr. Hollander the expense of repairs to the Assistant <br /> Harbormaster boat. The question is whether or not the Town wants to set a precedent <br /> by paying for all or a portion of the repairs, <br /> Selectman Thomas felt that an overall policy needs to be set and recommended that <br /> Mr. Hollander sit down with his Assistant Harbormasters and come back with a <br /> recommendation. <br /> Chief Frye reported that Andy Gottlieb was in :looping for a portable and he wanted <br /> the Board to be aware of the fact he does not have any. <br /> Selectman Thomas asked Nor. Hollander to go over his budget and see what he has to <br /> work with and look into possibly getting another portable. <br /> Selectman Thomas brought the Board up to elate on the Dredging of Popponoset Bay. <br /> She painted she had spoken with Michael Shay who said the plan should be here by <br /> the end of the weed . When it arrives it will be forwarded to the Army Corp. of <br /> Engineers and D.E. ,E. <br /> She has also spoken with Lew Schwartz who informed her of emergency funds from the <br /> State that are available for this project. <br />
