BOARD of SELECTMEN <br /> MINUTE <br /> TUESDAY, AUGUST 6, 1985 <br /> ADMINISTRATIVE MEETING <br /> Present : Selectman THomas, Selectman Hanson, Selectman Terry and Executive <br /> secretary , Joseph F. Murphy <br /> Selectman Thomas convened the meeting at 8 a.m. <br /> Mr. Murphy pointed out the purpose of this meeting was to discuss the activities <br /> held on John' s Pond. <br /> The Board felt as the area increases in population the Air .-National Guard might <br /> want to try an arrange their activities for after Labor Day and prepare the <br /> area people for their manuevers. Mr. lame just felt the people should be <br /> aware. <br /> The Board met with several individuals from the police department to discuss the <br /> review of a probationary period employee. <br /> Chief Frye reports from Patrolman Fleury ' s supervisors tris performance is less <br /> than satisfactory, he cannot follow orders and several other things that have <br /> been brought to his attention. Deputy Cooper stated he concurrs with the Chief <br /> and that the Town is not bound by Chapter 31 as this issue is covered under <br /> the agreement between the Police' Union and the Tbwn. <br /> Attorney Hagen felt this should be continued as he has tried to acquire copies <br /> of Patrolman Fleury ' s personnel records and records of performance from the <br /> police department and has been unsuccessful <br /> Selectman 'ferry stated he understood what the attorney was saying and therefore <br /> world continue this review until 7:30 Wednesday evening. <br /> Being no further business the Board moved to go into executive session to discuss <br /> collective bargaining. <br /> Meeting adjourned at 9:15 a.m. <br /> Respectfully submitted, <br /> Joyce M.
