'x <br /> BOARD of SELECTMEN <br /> MINUTES <br /> WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 259 19$5 <br /> page 3. <br /> NEW BUSINESS continued , <br /> 3 Selectmen received a mailgram from ITA advising of an emergency briefing on <br /> Negative Impact of Pre' sident' s Tax Plan on the community. <br /> 4 Selectmen received a request from Peters Hartel Corporation for a one day <br /> permit for liquor on October 27th from 3-6 p.m. <br /> Selectman Thomas moved to approve the request with the provision they hire a <br /> special police officer for this event. Selectman Terry seconded, Motion carried. <br /> Selectman Thomas roved to go into executive session to discuss security personnel . <br /> Selectman Thomas stated the regular meeting would reconvene. <br /> Meeting reconvened at 8:37 p.m. <br /> NEW BUSINESS <br /> The Historical Commission requested the Selectmen modify the traffic , rules <br /> and regulations on Gret oak Road for a period of time each year. <br /> Selectmen agreed to forward this to the Department of Public Works. <br /> The Fire Chief requested the Selectmen to schedule a hearing on the disposition <br /> of three vacant buildings presenting a severe hazard to 'the Public and firefighting <br /> personnel , <br /> electm'en will schedule a',.-1purb-l4cthearing for this. <br /> Selectmen received a request from the County Commissioners asking they submit <br /> names of people willing to serge on a County Conservation Commission. <br /> Mr. Murphy advised the Board this has been forwarded to the Conservation Commission. <br /> The DPW Director advised the Board that Truck #5, a 1975 Ford L900 Dump should <br /> be removed from service for safety reasons. <br /> Selectman Thomas mooed to go along with the recommendation of the DPW Director and <br /> remove truck #5 from service. Selectman Terry seconded. Motion carried. <br /> 9 The State Department of Public Works has assigned a District Liaison Coordinator <br /> to District 7 to improve communications- between the Department and -the communities. <br /> 10 Bradford Norman requested that the Selectmen sell to him a rock located behind <br /> the gown Miall to be used as his front step. <br /> Selectmen asked that this be forwarded to the School Committee and let Mr. Norman <br /> n <br /> know they do not have the authority to grant permission as this is school property. <br /> 11 The DPW Director requested permission to expend $285 from the Emergency Repairs <br /> to Private Roads account for repairs to Cove Road. <br />
