MASHPEE 'l <br /> m POLICE DEPARTMENT <br /> ROUTE 151 <br /> MASHPEE, MASS 01649 <br /> GENERAL ORDER <br /> _SUBJECT_: PARKING TICKETS <br /> PURPOSE: This General Order establishes the procedure for issuing and <br /> processing parking violations as defined in M.G.L. CH 90s20c <br /> (non-criminal disposition of parking violations) . <br /> PROCEDURE: A. A violation ticket shall be issued for violations of any <br /> rule, regulation, order or by-law regulating the parking <br /> of motor vehicles. <br /> B. The tag shall be affixed securely to the motor vehicle <br /> and shall contain the following information (see attached <br /> example) . <br /> i <br /> 1. Registration number of the motor vehicle <br /> 2. Date <br /> 3. Time and place of the violation <br /> 4. The specific offense charged (see attached) <br /> 5. Name and badge number <br /> C. At or before the completion of each tour of duty, the of- <br /> ficer shall complete a case incident report (see attached) <br /> for each violation issued. He/she shall attach two copies <br /> of the violation to the report and submit it to the Watch <br /> Commander who shall forward same to the Court Prosecutor <br /> (place in box) . The Court Officer shall submit all copies <br /> to the Parking Clerk at the beginning of the next business <br /> day. <br /> VIOLATIONS OF PARKING REGULATIONS AND FINES SCHEDULES <br /> PARKING VIOLATIONS FINE <br /> 1. Within 10 ft. of hydrant $10.00 <br /> 2. Within 20 ft. of intersection 10.00 <br /> 3. Upon a crosswalk or sidewalk 10.00 <br /> 4. Upon a roadway in a rural district 10.00 <br /> 5. Over 1 ft. from curb 10.00 <br /> 6. Wrong direction 10.00 <br /> 7. Less than 10 ft. unobstructed lane 10.00 <br /> 8. Across private road or driveway 10.00 <br /> 9. Prohibited "No Parking" area 10.00 <br /> Watch Commanders/Acting Watch Commanders will be responsible to assure that <br /> all personnel under their respective supervision are instructed in the pro- <br /> per implementation of and comply with this procedure. <br /> This order supercedes any previous order issued regarding parking tickets. <br /> Fines amended Board of Selectmen's meeting on 29 May 85. <br /> i <br /> Curtis W.
