SUBJECT: Adolphus Miller case. <br /> DISCUSSIOW: a Leave of absent for Mr. Miller, without-pay, until May 1,19 3• <br /> b) No time, vacation nor sick leave, due to Mr. Miller in 1973 <br /> c Suggested that Mr., Miller b -placed on leave of absent until. <br /> May 1,1and there, if Mr. Mil.l.er is unbbla to return to <br /> work, hire someone to replace him on a permanent basis* Until <br /> then the person replacing him at this time should stay on a <br /> temporary basis. <br /> Mrs Miller stated he will nearer be able to return to work on <br /> a full time basis therefore, he is satisfied with the leave <br /> of absent until May 1,1973s <br /> d It was -reported by the recording secretary that, Mr* Miller <br /> was granted an additional two weeds sick leave to carry him <br /> through the end. of 1972 year and that on January 1,1973 he <br /> would start on his 1973 -four weeks vacation and two weeks <br /> sick leave. This was not carried through as no money for <br /> such was appropriated in his budget. The last statement was <br /> verified by a telephone call between the Recording Secretary <br /> and the Town Ac count'ant, Mrs. Peters. <br /> e Mr. Daryl Sharp has been employed, temporary, to replace Mr. M ,ller p <br /> at the same rate, since January 1,1973. This authorization came <br /> only from the Board of Health and did not go through the Personnel <br /> Board's -procedures• <br /> DECISIONS: a May 1,1973 was agreed upon for Mr. Miller's leave of absent. <br /> b After May 1,1973, applications for the pos tion will be accepted <br /> and -procedures will be followed through the Personnel Board. <br /> The open position will be advertised. <br /> c This case will be discussed further.after asking the Board of <br /> S el.e c tree n's suggestions. <br /> 2s. SUBJECT: Mrs We Hurlbert"s resignation <br /> Mr. urlbert's resignation was read and accepted with regret. <br /> 3- SUBJECTi Interviews for Town Custodian. Salary of $108-00 -per week. <br /> Interviews: a Mrs Lansing Poo nett was interviewed and stated he was interested <br /> intthe -position although, he didn't seem to be too impressed by <br /> the salmi nor was the the Personnel Board impressed with him. <br /> The Personnel. Board do not feel he should be recommended for the <br /> -position to the Board of S l st en <br /> b Mrs Stwas interviewed and would be very interested in taking <br /> the -position as he is retired and would like something to do to <br /> occupy his leisure time. <br /> The Personnel Board was not impressed with Kr. Stanley and do not <br /> c <br /> feel haat Mrs- Manley should be recommended for the -position. <br />
