MINUTES OF THE PERSONNEL BOARD MEETING February 11 , 1980 F Members present at this. meeting- were: John Peters,, Jr,, thairman,Davi"8 - ven, James Rich', George Benwa�y and our new Board member Caroline i Gill ig n who is repta i.ng Chester Garland,, i F Chairman Peters opened this meeting at 7:30 p.m. The main purpose of this meeting ng was to discus the requests of the employees in regards to the new P.A.P. Karen Hale along with Joan Muse, Town Accountant, worded up a new salary schedule with figures showing what their salary would have been with merit increases under teh old Plan, proposed salaries for July 1 , 1980 under the revised P.A.P.- and a new figure, showing n adjustment -for merit/cost of l i v en - and keeping and equal ' .. living- and . q* ratio between the recl assi fl ed jobs. This appears to a the most equitable plan, After much discussion the Board unanimously . Voted to accept this concept. The -cost- f;r.,his -revision will be a'ppro � innately $6000.00. Daren Hale will type the letters for t -e Department budgets, Fi nance Committee and Town Accountant and have them-ready to be seat out on Thursday February 1 , 1980. y The Personnel Board has called a'-meeting for* :1 .m, o Thursday, y February 1 , 1980 for the Employees who fall under the -P. ,P, to present them the nevi adjustments. Wednesday, February `2o, 1980, .st ►rting at : 0' p.m. interviews will be conducted for the' position of Administrative Secretary to the B. :S Monday, February 18, ourt regularly scheduled Personnel Board Meeting will be canceled due.-to Washington's Birthday, Our. net r�egular meeting will be held on February 26 instead of the 25th because of our scheduled budget Meeting with the Finance Committee. We will conduct our regular business meeting at that- time. George Benway informed the Personnel - Board that the Selectmen took it upon themselves to. hire a part-tune 20 hours a week)' Clerk/Receptionist for their office without going through the Personnel Board dine to a ratter of urgency In their office. Finance ommi ttee- approved 'the- funding from now until June 30, 1980. ,George Benway told theBoard that the Selectmen would-be looking for this new position at Annual Town Meeting. The Personnel Board- voted itt approval on, this action, Reimbursement of $20.00 for a OLFP Test for Jeanne Madden AecoUntant's Office) was approved and a voucher signed.
