To the Honoarable Board of Selectmen: <br /> 1. The employees request that the Selectmen enter an article <br /> in the Annual Town Meeting <br /> held within the Annual, to�raise or horstransfer <br /> pecial oabe <br /> sum Of money to adjust the salaries of certain <br /> employees retroactive to July 1, 1979 to June 30, 1980 . <br /> This adjustment to include any employee who may be <br /> separated from the Town after January 23, 1980. <br /> 2. That the Selectmen enter an article into the annual <br /> town meeting to revise the Personnel 'Administration Plan I <br /> as. negotiated by Employee, Personnel Board and the <br /> Selectmen. <br /> a) That all referrences to management positions be <br /> removed from the PAP except referrence that these <br /> �• positions will be negotiatedas a separate entity; <br /> b) That individual merit-step increases be reinstated <br /> subject to review between employee and supervisor and <br /> approval of the Personnel Board to take affect in the <br /> first pay period of January] <br /> c) That any cost of living adjustment be based on the <br /> average employees salaries and <br /> percentage <br /> d on <br /> the average so that each employee will receive land eequal <br /> adjustment <br /> d) Sick leave be returned to 120 daysp <br /> I <br /> e) Discuss the possibility of an employee representative . <br /> to sit on .the Personnel Board, or advise before any item (s) <br /> of pertinent to employees are on the agenda, <br /> f) That the Selectmen appoint (2) impartial voters who <br /> are in no way now connected with Town government,. or, <br /> employment to review. each position covered by .the PAP <br /> and classify -accordingly. This review to be accomplished <br /> by independently submitted; <br /> i <br /> I. Job descriptions submitted by each employee; <br /> 2. Job descriptions submitted by each -supervisior; <br /> 3. Job description reviewed by panel after visit to <br /> each department for. personnel review of actual <br /> functions, and employees to be fully informed of <br /> this review. <br /> 9. That a uniform employee review forum be established <br /> to grade level of work performance . This to <br /> include <br /> (will have to submit at a later date - must <br /> acquire samples) <br />
