Rich, Chairman, Caroline Gilligan, <br /> Robert Sullivan, and John Peters, Jr., <br /> Also present at this meeting were: B. J. Thomas, Selectmen, and Nancy Blakeman, <br /> Chairman of the Finance Committee.. <br /> Chairman Rich called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. <br /> h <br /> The main purpose of this meeting was to conduct interviews for the position <br /> of Executive Secretary for the 'down of Mashpee,, <br /> The Following individuals wereinterviewed: <br /> Joseph Murphy <br /> Peter Brennan <br /> Earl Chase <br /> John Nadal ski <br /> aid Ramsey <br /> Gregory Doyan <br /> Of the six individuals interviewed the Personnel Board made a recon tendation <br /> to consider three for a second interview, -bletter to this effect will b <br /> forwarded to the Board of Selectmen. <br /> o .- e considered are: Joseph Murphy, Earl Chase, and David Ramsey. <br /> General Business: <br /> The t'reasurer's office wanted an opinion as the the status of a Blue Cross/ <br /> Blue Shield payment for Geordine Roderick who has been out sick without pay <br /> for a little more than a month. Miss Roderick is not on a Leave of Absence <br /> but has exhausted her tick leave and chose not to use her vacation time. It <br /> was Felt by the Board that Miss Roderick should be responsible to. pay for her <br /> portion instead of the total amount. A letter to this effect was sent to the <br /> 'treasurer's office with a copy to Miss Roderick, <br /> Marcia Ducharme of the Police Department requested some information regarding <br /> her attendance of a week long course for secretaries working in the Criminal <br /> Justice System. Vere is no cost to this course but she would he absent from <br /> work. The Board feels, that if Chief Frye feels it beneficial to his employee <br /> that the decision lies with him but feels that Ms. Ducharme should not forf6it <br /> her pair if the course will benefit the department and the Town. <br /> Expense vouch-(§r was signed for Postage and a pre-employment physical* <br /> Our next meeting is scheduled for October 2,7, x.980 t which time the Beard <br /> will begin working job evaluations. `here will be no Beard meeting on <br /> Monday October 20, 1980, due to a Special 'down Meeting. <br /> This meeting adjourned at 9:45 p.m.- <br /> jRespectfullv subrai ted, <br /> n Ann Hale <br /> cc: Board of Selectmen Secretary to the Personnel Board <br />
