'I N.)'I` s of THE MASHPEE PERSONNELBOARD <br /> 5 <br /> January 19, 1981 <br /> Board members present were: James F o Rich, chairman Caroline Gilligan,Peters, .Jr. � l�gar�, and <br /> Chairman Rich called this meeting to order at 7:45 p.M. <br /> Minutes from the meeting of January 12, 1961 were accepted as aread. <br /> This evening agenda consists o general. busi.�ness dor the Board. <br /> le The Personnel board approved and voted tuition reimbursement for both D. Dottridge, <br /> and Paul Frazier. Both employees are firefighters on the Ma h ee Fare Departmente <br /> Both successfully completed a course at Cape Cod community College in Fire codes/ <br /> Ordinances HF11 . A letter of approval will be sent to Mrs. Neuse, Town Accountant <br /> for payment with copies to the above named individuals, <br /> 2. A memo was received from the Finance Committee informing us of the deadline for <br /> budgets along with a card confirming the date of February 26, 1981 at 7:45 p.m. <br /> o review the budget of the Persomea Board, Nor. Rich signed the card of con- <br /> firmationt to be returned to the Finance Committee. <br /> 3. A copy of a letter sent to the Board of Selectmen from Curtis Frye, Acting Police <br /> Chief was read to the Board. This letter was requesting the Board of Selectmen <br /> o approve hiring two police officers to replace M. Swierz and D. FitzGerald. <br /> Karen Hale? secretary to the Board met with Mr. Murphy, Executive Secretary and <br /> she was informed that the selectmen were deferring action, that such a .request <br /> was inappropriate at this time. curbs Frye will be informed by the Selectmen's <br /> Office. <br /> letter was sent to the Police Department commending Police officer Doris Hendricks <br /> for taking time out to help a stranded motorist after having come off duty. A copy <br /> will- be PI ced in her Personnel file. <br /> . Mr. Murphy, Executive Secretary, informed Karen Hale that the Mashpee Housing <br /> Authority has been formed and will hold its initial meeting on Wednesday, <br /> January 28,1981 at 7:30 at the Mashpee Town Hall. There is a need for secretarial <br /> services for this Board. The P er s nne 1 Beard will post the opening on the Torn <br /> Hall bulletin board as well as the other departments asking that any individual <br /> interested apply in writing to the Personnel Board as soon as possible <br /> The secretary from the Highway Department called seeking information for Roger Medeiros <br /> who wanted to put a request in for vaca ion- 'or the previous week so that he <br /> would no go without a weeks pay. Mr. Medeiros has been out with a back strain <br /> and claims that it is due to an old injury dating back to Koerber 1979. Town <br /> Physici .n cleared ham to return to work as of today.
