1UNUTES of THE -MASHPEE PERSONNEL BOARD MEETING- <br /> MASHPEE TOWN HALL <br /> SEPTEMBER 14, 19$1 r <br /> The meeting was called to order at 7:30 P.M. on Monday, September 1 , 1981. <br /> Personnel Board members present: Fames Rion, Chairman, Caroline Gilligan and <br /> John Peters, Jr., <br /> Also present: Library Trustees: ondrea L. Robertsons C ai an., Mrs. Shapiro <br /> and Mr. Swenson., <br /> Interviews were conducted for position of Ldbrary Assistant <br /> 7:3 o P.M. -- Gerda Sano <br /> 7:45 P.M. -- Fancy Lamoureux <br /> P.M. -- Donna Herlihy <br /> A recommendation voted unanimously for Gerda Sano. Library Trustees were in <br /> a greemen.t. A recommendation was made that a letter be sent to the Board of <br /> Selectmen. + <br /> Received a. letter from R. G. Sweeney, Chairman of the ]hoard of Appeals request- <br /> ing to hire Kasen Ann Hale as a temporary Beard Secretary while their secretary <br /> is taking a night course. The Personnel Board unanimously voted approval. A <br /> letter wi l i be seat to Mr. Sweeney approving the request with a copy of the <br /> letter to the Executive Secretary, Accountant and Treasurer,, <br /> This Board received a Doctor I s certificate from Dr. Brooks allowing Jeff Tavares, <br /> Firefighter to ,return to work, <br /> Received a memorandum stating the new Finance Committee Chairman is Arthur Morley. <br /> Also received a request to advertise for a new Board Secretary. They have re- <br /> ceived a resignation from Susan vanTol. <br /> Received a copy of a letter seat to Paul Haddad Temporary Laborer by Walter <br /> Jacobson, Superintendent of Streets, informing him that he is terminated as a <br /> result of failure to report to work for a lengthy period of time with no explana- <br /> tion. <br /> Received a letter from Dr. Ravin regarding Firefighter William Chase whom she <br /> evaluated. He is at least 100 pounds overweight. He is seeking psychological <br /> support. She will be seeing Mr. Chase once a month. She feels a reasonable <br /> length of time is at least a year. <br /> The Board of Selectmen at their regular meeting on September 2. 1981 appointed: <br /> Kevin Frost - Call.
