PERSONNEL BOARD <br /> MASHPEE TOWN HALL <br /> MEETING OF JULY ll, 1983 � <br /> The following members of the Personnel Board were present for tonight's meeting: <br /> Robert Sullivan.., Chairman, Caroline Gilligan, David Hardy and Manuel Glickman. <br /> Chairman Sullivan- convened the meeting promptly at p.m. <br /> Minutes of Personnel Board } <br /> Caroline Gilligan moved to accept the Per.sonnel. Boardls minutes of May 31. Dave <br /> Hardy seconded the motion. All present were in favor+4, <br /> Review of Replies from Ph sicians- <br /> The Board reviewed ,letters - , om the lid-Cape Medical-Center, the Hyannis Medical <br /> Center, the Falmouth Walk-In Center and-Falmouth -Medical Association quotting <br /> prices for physical exam', b look work,. e g; chest x--r■ y. - It was the Boacrd's de ci-. <br />`y sion to send new employees- recently, hired' to, the laid-Cape Medical Center. Previously, <br /> two physicals were set up' with the Hyams Medical Center with reports of a two hour <br /> gait from one employee, <br /> i ha Dept,, Accident <br /> letter dated July 71 1983 to Martin Hendricks from Ernie Virgilio, Street 'Superin- <br /> tendent, was reviewed by the Boaa'd vii th- regard to ars incident that occurred involving <br /> a town vehicle. Pyr. Hendricks was suspended from duty,' rith pay on July 5 through <br /> July 7, pending investigation. <br /> Increases for Higlway HighwayDe t. F <br /> The Board of Selectmen a.pproved,salary increases. for all employees under the Highway <br /> contract ,effective as of July 1, 1983. r <br /> Recommendations for Gate -Attendant <br /> The Personnel Board, reviewed applications for the Gate Attendant positio'n due. to. an <br /> . per ng as a result of .the release of Philip Johnson* . The Recreation Director- who <br /> was present during the meeting:. strongly recommended. the hiring of Lisa va.g s and <br /> Richard Salzman. Two other. applicati.ons from John McHugh and John LaCava will be <br /> given consideration for Sundays. <br /> . t <br /> A22ointment <br /> Mr. Glickman was notified that he was re-appointed to the Personnel. Board and needed <br /> to be sworn in <br /> Vacation Carry-over <br /> The Board pf Selectmen approved- vacation carry-over time of l days for Diel McGrath <br /> as a result of her not being -able to take her' .-time due. to the vacancy in'that office. <br /> Probation Period Waived <br /> The Board of Selectmen, at their July 6th meeting, voted to waive the probation period <br /> for benefit purposes for Nancy Canata, Administrative Secretary to ,the Highway Dept. <br /> Interviews for Recreation fide Level '11 <br /> The Personnel ward,- alone with the assistance of Wendy. Rubin, interviewed candidates <br /> for the position of Recreation Aide, Level Il as follows: Parmela Bell, Edward Rowan, <br /> Elinor Kazukonis, Roberta Aronson-German and Paula- oltis-. After the interviewing, <br /> the Board voted to recommend Paula.Solt.is, Roberta Aronson-German, Edward Rowan and <br /> Pamela. Bell for the position. Wendy agreed that all applicants the Personnel Board was <br /> recommending werequalified; -however, said that she would send a memo to the Board. o <br /> Selectmen strongly recommending .Paula Solos <br />
