PERSONNEL BOARD -MINUTES <br /> INUTE <br /> MEETING of A,PR11 25, 1983 <br /> MAST PEE- T WN HALL <br /> The following members of the Personnel. Board were present for tonight's ineeting: <br /> Robert Sullivan, Chairman, Caroline Gilligan, Cu' rti Woodbury, David Lardy and <br /> Manuel. Glickman4 <br /> Chairman Sullivan convened the meeting At :0 . p.m. <br /> Memo re: Curtis Woodbury <br /> memo dated April 25 from the Board Of Selectmen was read into the minutes regard- <br /> ing Curtis Woodbury's request not to b reappointed to the Personnel Board- after <br /> June 30, 1983. Chairman Sullivn expressed his appreciation for -all the time and <br /> effort Curtis has contributed to the Board. <br /> Minutes of AprLll, 4 and April 1.1. <br /> Curtis Woodbury moved to accept the minutes of April. 4 and April 11 as read. Dave <br /> Hardy .seconded the motion. All present were in favor. <br /> Town Meetin e rpesentation <br /> Curtis Woodbury was asked to represent the Personnel Board on the articleswhich were <br /> submitt d for town meeting-action regarding the grade and step elassif1Cation- for p si- <br /> tions which fall under the Personnel Administration Plan plus the amendments to' the <br /> P.A.P. to include new positions, <br /> Ap2lication Form <br /> Recommendations for revision ,of the town' application form were received from Attorney <br /> ilman's office. The secretary was. as] ed to -c mpile the ,recommendations into a new <br /> form. <br /> Questions for Interviewina Purposes <br /> Manuel Glickman recommended that -the Board request department heads to submit a List of, <br /> key questions s-Eipulati ng certain requirements about the various positions in their de- <br /> partment which might not be included on the job, description so that they could be used <br /> when interviewing prospective employees. Bob commented',that he felt it was a good idea <br /> and asked. Curtis Woodbury to speak to the department heads at Thursday's inter-depart- <br /> mental meeting. <br /> Reimbursement of Educational Courses <br /> Approval was given to pay Patrolman Edward Slevin for courses which were taken during <br /> the winter quarter at Northeasters, University amounting t $205. <br /> Request for Legal Rulip <br /> Discussion was made on the open meeting law and who could sit in during interviews o , Bob <br /> instructed the-secretary to follow up -on this by contacting the Falmouth Personnel Board <br /> to see hoer they handle situations that may occur. <br /> Polio officer Interviews <br /> The Personnel Board, along Ath- 'the assistance of Chief Frye, conducted interviews for <br /> full-tame police officer, The following candidates were interviewed: Gerald U mina. - <br /> Ja es Jackson, Stephen.My tte' and rt-Kris Bohn nberger. Each candidate was given a score <br /> for the oral interview.. A written test was given to applicants prior to the oral inter- <br /> view on April 21 along with the assistance of Chief Frye. The Personnel Board voted to- <br /> recommend <br /> Stephen Mye tte, -Kris Bohnenberge.r,, James Jackson and Gerald Umina for the posi- <br /> tion in the order listed pending reference checks, <br /> Respectfully sub ted, <br /> Marilyn Farren, Secretary <br />
