Personnel Board Minutes <br /> April. 41, 1983 Page 2 <br /> aecial Police/Radio Dispatcher Applicants <br /> Applications for the special police officer/radio dispatcher positions were reviewed <br /> and twelve finalists were chosen to. be i terviewed for the three openings. interview <br /> will be scheduled for next Monday's s meeting,- April 11, starting at :l p.r . <br /> General Discussion <br /> Curtis Woodbury suggested that when interviewing candidates, Board members use a corrmon <br /> grading- system. Manuel Glickman commented that he felt using . format was a good idea.. <br /> The Board reviewed a few forms which were on file -orae of which will be used at future <br /> meetings at each of the members- discretion. <br /> Curtis-Woodbury also suggested that members take notes at interviews and then Vote .on <br /> a finalist at their next meeting rather than make snap decisions. Dave said that -he <br /> would rather use ' gut feel3g_11. Bob commend that he felt that the interviewing process <br /> is a judgement call and that by wasting a. week would be the wrong way to go. as members <br /> might lose their concept, <br /> Curtis asked the Board members to give •some thought on submitting an article for a town <br /> by-law which would tighten the, fifteen mile 110 mit state. law requiring public safety <br /> employees to lure within that distance.
