PERSONNEL BOARD MEETING OF AUGUST 13, 1984 MAHPEE .TOWN ANLL The following members of the Personnel Board were present for tonight' meeting Caroline Gilligan, Manuel. Glickman,. Carrie Saunders and Ben Lofohie. Request From Exutive Secretary re: Mtg. with Tern Accountant The Board reviewed a memo from the Executive Secretary requesting a meeting with the - - Personnel Beard and the Town Accountant to discuss the role of the Accountant and need for more communication between both Personnel Department and Accounting Depart- ment. part- ment. Board members agreed to set up a meeting at their next meeting of August 20 at : 0 p. . Termination of Recreation Aide . The Board reviewed correspondence from Wendy Rubin relative to the termination of Theresa Gomes. Eviden ally, Ms. Gomes was terminated due to falsification of records and the inability to perform her position of Recreation- Aide. The Board asked that Wendy be invited to a future meeting to discuss the screening of applicants and to discuss the Board assisting her with the interviewing process. Meeting with Guy Seymour, Ph.D Dr, Guy Seymour, the psychologist hired by the Town to do the promotional testing on Bill Beier for the Sergeant's position, met with the Personnel. Board to outline the reasons for' the testing, the types of testing given as well as to present his creden- tials and background information on himself. Interview for' Town Planner~ The Personnel Board, along with the assistance of selectman Terry, Dick Dubin and Bill Hanrahan, interviewed Albert Benshoff for the position of Town Planner.. Another applicant, Michael Benoff,, rithdr~ew'his application and .cancelled the appointment scheduled for him. Seven additional applicants will be interviewed next week. .
