PERSONNEL NEL BOARI - MEETING OF FEBRUARY 13 , 1984 MASHPFE TOWN HALL The following members, of the Personnel Board were present : Caroline Gilligan , David Hardy , Manuel Glickman and Carrie Saunders . Meeting was called to order at 6 - 00 p .m . The Board members not present at the previous meeting were brought yip to date on what was discussed with the Council on Aging in refer- ence to the evaluation of Senior Citizen Director , Larry Frazier . The Board also discussed whether or~ not to invite Larry Frazier to talk with therm_ The decision was to get the results of the meeting Council member , Mr . McNulty , was to have with Larry Frazier . The Board will then decide the next course of action . } d Meeting With Town Accountant - re : P . A . P. The Town Accountant met with the Board to�discuss some concerns she had with reference to the recent draft of the P . A. P. she complimented the Board on their progress to date . . 01 he mentioned that since the Board is so close to completing the ' pd.at some language had to be cleaned up . Attached please find the breakdown of the concerns . R With reference to the vacation policy , the Board asked the Town Accountant to draft the wording as to the way she thought it should read . The matter was taken under advisement for further discussion . The Board was in agreement to postpone the article on the special Town Meeting warrant with reference to the update of the P . A. P . with the exception. of Appendix A r lating to the salary schedule . Course on Individual Development Ann Shaw asked for the Board ' s endorsement on sending the Asst.. -Treasurer to a course 'n individual development being offered through the Business and Professional Women ' s Club at a cost of $25 . The Board said that they would be in support of any employee attending such a course as long as the cost is absorbed through the individual department ' s expense accounts . i Six-Month Performance Appraisal ; A draft of a► six-month performance appraisal form was liven to Board mem- bers for their review 'and comment - This form world be used for mid-year evaluations . It was suggested that the form be used every three months . Discussion was tabled _ Request for Course Approval The Board reviewed a request for course approval from Robert Long of the Fire Department to take a course entitled "Fire Department Management and Planning " at a cost of 1 0 _50 . Since the form was not signed by the Department Heald the Board requested that it be signed before their ap- proval .
