PERSONNEL BOARD <br /> MEETING of AUGUST , 1985 <br /> MAHPEE TOWN HALL <br /> The following members of the Board were present at a special meeting called to screen <br /> candidates for the position of part-time Administrative Secr ary to the Police Dept. : <br /> Chairman Sullivan J Manuel Glickman and Ben Lofehie. <br /> Chairman Sullivan convened the meeting at 10.-15 a.m. <br /> The Board met with Mary Timpe, a candidate for the part-time secretarial position, and <br /> interviewed her alone with the assistance of Barbara Horton. They reviewed Ms. Timpe' <br /> typing qalifica ions as well as her work experience. <br /> The Beard also net with Arnie La'Tourette, another candidate for the position. During the <br /> interview, Deputy chief Cooper' arrived. The Board also reviewed Ms. LaToure te' work ex- <br /> perience <br /> x-pe ienee as well as her typing skills. <br /> At the conclusion of the interviews, chairman Sullivan asked the Deputy and Mrs.. Horton for <br /> their input. Mrs. Horton stated that she felt Ms. LaThurette would be better suited for <br /> the department as she was quiet in rta .ure and confidentiality would be extremely important. <br /> The Deputy stated that he was at a di sadvan ac e�,as he was not present during the first <br /> interview. Mrs. Horton indicated that both candidates, in her opinion, would be qualified <br /> skill wise. <br /> Ve <br /> Board vo ed o recommend Mary Timpe as their ffirst choice and Amie LaToure e, a their <br /> eond choice with backs round hecks being, conducted on both. The Deputy asked that release <br /> of information forma be signed by the candidates and that they be brought in for finger- <br /> printing.
