9 Board of Selectmen Minutes July 9, 2018 Discussion and Approval of Chane Order#3.Quashnet School Project: Catherine Laurent, Director of Public Works recommended approval of Quashnet School Windows/Roof project Change Order #3 resulting in a net addition of$98,659.06 to the project cost. Funding of the projects as identified in the memorandum dated July 5, 2018 would derive from the contingency budget. All change orders are noted to be pertinent to summer work. With approval of this change order, the contingency budget is approximately 25% expended. Construction is estimated to be 50% complete. Motion made by Selectman Gottlieb to approve Change Order#3 in the amount of$98,659.06 relative to the Quashnet School Windows/Roof Project. Motion seconded by Selectman Cotton. VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. Roll Call Vote: Selectman Sherman,yes Selectman Cahalane,yes Selectman Gottlieb,yes Selectman O'Hara, yes Selectman Cotton,yes Opposed, none Discussion and Approval of Appointment to the Conservation Commission: Marty Bregman: The Conservation Commission at their June 28, 2018 meeting voted unanimously to recommend the appointment of Mary Bregman as a full voting member. Attached to the Conservation Commission memorandum of July 5, 2018 was a letter of interest from Marty Bregman dated June 12, 2018 requesting consideration for appointment. At the last meeting, the Board of Selectmen recommended to develop policy regarding the appointment of appointees to significant boards/commissions. It was agreed this appointment and the following appointment would be deferred at this time. Discussion and Approval of Appointment to the Zoning Board of Appeals: Norman J. Gould: As noted, the agenda topic was deferred until the Policy for appointment to boards/committees is developed.
