Secretary Manny •Gl.ickman .moved to reappoint Marilyn Farren as 'Secretary- to the. Personnelboard Ben Lofchie seconded the motion. Al 11 were in agreement. ° Evaluations , The Board reviewed the annual evaluationsof the Recreation Director, Wendy Rubin,, the Police Chief, Curtis Frye, and the Personnel• Secretary,!Marilynr'arren. All evaluations were favorable and step 'increases„were approved. . Reorganization of Personnel. Board rBen 'Lofchie 'movedto nominate Bob Sullivan as Chairman of the Personnel 'Board. Manuel; Glickman seconded the motion. All .in favor. Ben. Lofchie -moved'to nominate • Caroline Gilligan as Clerk. - Manuel Glickman' seconded the motion. All in favor'. , Request to Readvertise AdministrativeISecretarial Position,` r The Personnel Secretary advised- the Board that the Town- Planner would.like' to re- advertise e advertise the position of Administrative S.ecreta'ry•toFobtain''ore applicants. • .Bob'• E Sullivan commented that bothcandidatesinterviewed were qualified and that:'the. Planner should make adecision. Board memberswere`in agreehient. ; .t - Program Director. Vacancy Ben Lofchie moved to recommend that John Fortin be hired- as, an Interim -Program, Director. Ben also recommended that he be paid $7. 16 an hour' if he works as a full:- time employee. The part-time hourly rate. will• remain the same'.' .Manny Glickman seconded the-motion. All in favor. Part-Time Clerk _ Recreation Dept. Manny Glickman moved to recommend. the appointmentof Mae Lofchie ,for the'part-time Cl:erk' position .in the Recreation Department. Caroline-Gilligan seconded the motion: . ` All in favor. - Note: Bed Lofchie stepped. down during,discussioa and voting. s a - Updated -JobDescriptionsThe Board reviewed a memo from the Executive Secretary dated�.June "18 .relating to up- ”. dating,job descriptions.`-After some discussion, Ben Lofchie moved. to, submit an article at the next Special. Town Meeting to appropriate..funds needed for-the update of job descriptions. ' Bob Sullivancommented' that the Town Hired- a consultant.'and we are not ` ., r� ,supposed to .change. the document. He ,said•.,that'we should riot worryabout' the money and that we should go back to the M.M.A. for job descriptions and salary cata " tHe commented - that there are 'at least seventeen management positions which' should-be plugged' in.
