PERSONNEL BOARD <br /> MINUTES OF LARCH 31, 1986 <br /> ASHPEE TOWN -HALL <br /> The follovdng- members of the Personnel. Board were present: Chairman Robert Sullivan, <br /> Caroline M., Gilligan, Manuel Glickman and C. Ben Lofchie. <br /> airman Sullivan called the meeting o- order .a .6: , p.m. <br /> Review of Long vi y Claus - P,-A.P.. <br /> Upon review. of the Longevity clause in the P.A. . , the Personnel Board unanimously <br /> voted to change the wording in ,sections 1 and 2 as- follows; (1) ' Any full.-time <br /> employee who has served the prerequisite number of- full-time years of service as set <br /> forth shall. be compensated for longevity as follows: a. After five continuous <br /> full.-time years-of service, $150. b. After ten' (1. continuous full-time years of <br /> service, X225. c. After fifteen 1 continuous full-time,--years 4=years of -ervic , $300, <br /> d. After twenty 2 continuous full-time years of service, $375. e. - After twenty- <br /> five <br /> wen y- <br /> fi re 2 continuous full--time years of service, $475. 2 Longevity pay shall b <br /> based upon- the number of years of full.-time service' as determined by an employee's <br /> anniversary date of employment and shall be paid,' o -employees .on their anniversary <br /> date of employm . <br /> In addition to the above changes.' the Board voted unanim usl.y to implement language <br /> for a part-time employee who has had continuous part-time service with the Tbwn and <br /> then were to become a full-time employee. The person would be given creditfor half the <br /> years of part-time service plus the full-time--years of service when co.mpu ing longevity. <br /> Conservation Officer Job Description <br /> Chairman Sullivan addressed concerns over utio the line of au hori y would be for the <br /> Conservation Officer to report to. The Chairman of the Conservation Commission, March <br /> Y uPont�, replied that the person would report - o the Chairman and then any decisions <br /> rade by the Chairman would be ratified at their next meeting. She agreed that there <br /> was need for c h_, of command olarifi aion. She said that she had problems with <br /> the word 1111alson" as she felt that should be changed. She went on to say that she <br /> does not see a lot of emergencies and that 'a person will have to be familiar with the <br /> we 1.and and town by-laws. If consultation is needed, the person caul d wait or opinions <br /> could, be given by checking the regulations or giving a call to DEE o ". the Chairman in <br /> charge,,`v. <br /> Conservation Officer -Interviews <br /> The Personnel Board, ' along with 'members of the Conservation Commission March duPon f <br /> Nonie Farraday,, mol Jacobsen. and Pauline DeLory interviewed the following candidates <br /> for the position 'of Conservation Officer: ..Jane Broderick,, John- Varkanda, John Vickers, <br /> John Crane. Jeanne Coron and Joseph Petronino. All �were ent a copy of the job descrip- <br /> tion to review, prior to the interviews, The salary of '$17,916 annually was quo ted to <br /> each of the candidates.
