Control Officer , dated November 25 , suggesting that the Board consider a half day on Christmas Eve and a half day on New Year ' s Eve . After some discussion , the Board voted unanimously to recommend to ,the Board of Selectmen that the language under the Personnel Administration Plan ' s Holiday Article be chanced as proposed Eire Chief Candidates Sel . Manson and Sel .�Lawrence met briefly with the Board ,to discuss the urgency of getting a Eire chief on board .- Sel . Danson and Sel . Lawrence and Manuel Glickman reviewed the applications during the - past week . Both Selectmen asked that interviews be set 'up soon . Many Glickman asked that the ,ub-committee meet on Wednesday , Dec.ember 9 , at p .m . to finalize the selection of candidates who wi-11 be interviewed , Ben Lofchie agreed to meet with the sub-committee in lieu of the absence of the Personnel Bd . Chairman . The secretary advised the Board that Paul Fraier ,, Chief ' of the Cotu►it Fire Department , would assist the Board .in the inter ie'w process Interviews for Part-Tire Administrative Clerk The Board , alone with the assistance of Barbara Horton , interviewed candid- ates. for the parttime Administrative Clerk position at the Police Dept . Each candidate was advised of the hourly rate of $6 .63 and the fact that the position consisted of 1 8 hours weekly broken down into three days a week . ' All candidates received a copy of the lob description . Prion to the interviews , each candidate was tested for -typing skills . The applicants interviewed were : Bambara Cress , Rita ' Tuomi , Beverly Ryan , Rosaleen E -an , Lilian- Nor us and Louise Fer'ris . Upon conclusion of the interviews , the Board narrowed down the selection process to : Mita Tuori , Lilian Norkus and l osaleen Egan . Abackground check will be' conducted prior to recommen- dations to the Board of Selectmen .
