PERSONNEL BOARD EXECUTIVE SESSION MINUTES OF APRIL 21 , 1992 MASHPEE TOWN HALL r 4 I The following members of the Mashpee Personnel Board were present during the Executive Session held for the purpose of pre-screening job applicants for the position of Temporary Harbormaster: Robert Sullivan, Lev Turo, Jane Stockbridge and Rata Sousa. Also present during the meeting to assist the Personnel Board were : Lew Schwartz and Dan Homeyer of the waterways Commission, Bob Sherman of the Conservation Commission, Selectman Carol Jacobson, Selectman Judy Mills and Selectman James Vaccaro, Chairman Sullivan convened the meeting at 1 : 10 p.m. The following candidates were interviewed : Peter alenius, Ronald Rust howl hy, Henry Hadden, Richard Halpern, William Barton, illi aim c a hern, Dan Bohnenbearc er, Mark Hansen, Richard Picard and Jeffrey Gaineborg, The background and job qualifications of each candidate were reviewed by the Board . At the conclusion of the preliminary interview process, the Personnel Board was in agreement to narrow down the selection process to the following candidates : Henry madden, Ronald Rutk owshy, Peter Salenius and Richard Picard, Henry Madden of blest Falmouth, was the Chief Harbormaster for the Town of Falmo.uth from 1974 through 1983 . He was responsible f o ar the day-to-day management and operation of the Falmouth Harbor Marine, He left the Town of Falmouth in 1983 to manage and operate the Bourne Marina in Buzzards Bay until 1988 . At the present time, Mr. Hadden indicates that he is doing a tremendous amount of boating. He is very familiar with the I ash ee waters, state and federal regulations and would have no problem enforcing the town by-laws . Har. Fadden has strong public relation shills . Ronald Ru howshy of Hyannis recently retired from acture military service with the . Coast Guard. His experience ranges from over twenty years of small boat operations, vessels up to 65 feet, with four years experience as the Commanding Officer of U. S. Coast Guard 1 Station woods Hole . He also has sixteen years experience as a' Federal Law Enforcement Officer.
