I PERSONNEL BOARD MEETING DECEMBER 8, 1992 MA HFEE TOWN HALL The following members of the Personnel Board were present for the meeting; Rita E. Sousa, hairma * `ane Stockbridge, Clerk; Robert U . Sullivan; and Leo Turo . Bill Hauck, Acting Building inspector, was also present . -Chairman Sousa convened the meeting at 4 : 35 p .m. The Board, along with the assistance of Bill Hauck, Acting Building Inspector, interviewed three candidates for the position of Alternate Building Inspector as follows : Donald Meyer, Joseph Polito, and Lawrence Schofield . Mr. Polito was the unanimous choice of the inter- viewers . nterviewers . For the past seven years, he has been self-employed as an ar hite to planner, and consultant in Franklin, Ma. Prior to that, he was employed for seventeen years by the Carlson Corporation, Wayland, Ma. -the the last six years of which were as Vice President . His educa- tion includes an Associates Degree a in Civil Engineering and a Bachelor' s Degree in Architecture . Currently residing temporarily in Vest Roxbury, Mr. Polito will be moving to Mashpee in early 1993 when the home he is building is scheduled for completion. A background check wil l ' be conducted prior to sending recommendations to Board of Selectmen. Acte tante of Personnel M.inutes Rita Sousa said that she had some editorial changes on the minutes of November 10, 1992 . Bob Sullivan moved to accept the Personnel Board minutes of Nov. top 1992 with the few changes . Leo Turo. seconded All in favor. Sam le Reiection Letters Chairman Sousa asked the Board to review two l eters-a response to everyone who sends in resumes for a specific position and a response for unsolicited resumes . Chairman Sousa said that she also drafted u a response letter to people who are interviewed and not selected . Council on Aging Director Position Chairman Sousa advised the Board that Christine Donovan- was hired b the Board of Selectmen as the new Council on Aging Director. She is scheduled for her physical can Thursday of this week , Leisure Services Director With regard to the Leasure Service Director position, Rita Sousa advised the Board that the interviewing panel will consist of Bob 1hri tenour, Nancy Caffyn, Bob Sullivan, Dr* DeMoura-who suggested Maryanne Gibbs, School.
