M UT S OF THE MASHPEE PERSONNELBOARD MEETING <br /> September 11, 1978 <br /> This meeting was called to order by C airman Frank Deonardi at 7:30 p.m. with <br /> members Wilma Graham and John Peters, Jr. present, <br /> The minutes of August 28, 19 78, were accepted as presented. <br /> Letters of resignation were received from Mrs. Elizabeth Nelson, secretary to the <br /> Wampanoag Indian Museum, and Mso Barbara Ryder, Interior Curator for the Museum, and <br /> the Board of Selectmen were asked what steps would be taken to secure the Museum <br /> until such time as new personnel are hired for these positions, <br /> The Personnel Board rec mended that Acting Fire Chief Gregory Willis' appointment <br /> e extended through November 1.5, 1978. <br /> The Board of Selectmen were informed that this Board concurred with its request to <br /> hire Mr. William Stevens as Town Ball Custodian, on a temporary basis, until such <br /> time as the position may be approved at a town Knee ting. Mr. Stevens has worked in <br /> this same capacity for the School Department, and a letter was sent to Dr. Anthony <br /> D'Antuono, Superintendent of Schools, requesting a Job description of this position. <br /> The Board is in receipt of a copy of a letter to def Millis from Dr. Thomas Sweeny <br /> with Dr. Sweeny 0 s recommendation -that Firefighter Donald Duarte not continue ars a <br /> firefighter for the Torn of Mashpee. The Board of Selectmen were asked what steps <br /> were being taken to process Mro Duarte's retirement papers. <br /> At the request of Mr, George Green, Town Accountant was advised of this Board I <br /> concurrence to extend the employment of Mt. Milo DeLola and Mr. martin Hendricks <br /> with the Highway Department through September 3 , 1973. <br /> Town Accountant was informed of the appointment of Mrs. Barbara Russell to the <br /> position of part-wt me secretary to the Board of Appeals. <br /> Payment of medical bills for Ptl,, Donald Bevacqua and Ptl,. William Ethier were <br /> processed. <br /> Application forms for employment were discussed and updated for printing. <br /> The Board members discussed the police contract in detail, and a meeting will be <br /> arranged with the Police Association Bargaining Cottee <br /> The following vacations were approved and the proper departments notified <br /> Mitchell Swierz 10/2/78 d- 10/6/78 <br /> Grace Maddox 10/10/78 - 10/13/78 <br /> Warren Hicks 9/11/78 9/14/78 <br /> 9/19/78 - 9/22/78 <br /> 9/27/78 -- 9/30/78 <br /> Vernon Thomas 9/11/78 9/15/78 <br /> Howland Evora 9/14/78 <br /> 9/20/78 9/22/78 <br /> Raymond Martini 9/14/78 <br /> Edgar Burroughs 9/19/78 9/24/78 <br />
