t <br /> Minutes <br /> ilashpe Cultural Council <br /> Monday, November 4, 2013 <br /> Page 1 <br /> Present: Barbara Cotton, Sarah Daley, Joyce Mason, Katy Rankin-Read, Bruce Taggart, <br /> Madeline Walsh, Lynne Waterman <br /> The meeting was called to order by Barbara Cotton at 9:27 a.m. <br /> Minutes <br /> Motion was made by Ms. Maley to approve the minutes of October 28, 2013 with one <br /> amendment, to change the word fund in the third paragraph of New Business to support. <br /> Motion was seconded by Ms. Rankin-Read <br /> VOTE: Unanimous— -o <br /> Old Business <br /> The Council Members discussed the following applications that had been placed on hold <br /> previously to allow Mr. Taggart the opportunity to seek additional information. <br /> Application# —Music Dance,Education - Heidi McLaughlin confirmed the funding would be <br /> for Oktoberfest 2014. <br /> Application 99—John Root—The Town of Sandwich reported dissatisfaction with Mr. Root and <br /> his work. <br /> Application 910 —Cotuit Center for the Arts—Last year's program consisted of eight participants <br /> for eight sessions for a total of 64 hours. <br /> Application#11 —Cape Cod Maritime Museum—Program will be provided at the Ma tepee <br /> Middle School and if the funding was to be reduced the number of sessions would be adjusted. <br /> At this time the Council began final review of the applications on the "Yes'.' list. <br /> Application #1 —Janet Burke—Mad Science <br /> Motion was made by Ms. Cotton to grant funding in the amount of$335.00 <br /> Motion was seconded by Ms. Rankin-Read <br /> Vote: Unanimous <br />
