SeZectwoman Thomas moved that this article be <br /> inserted on the warrant for Annual Town meeting. Mr. Lawrence seconded <br /> the motion. The vote was unanimous . <br /> 2'.m' Barnstable Coun:Ly Commissioners re : Chaster. Mr. <br /> Murphy noted that the Board of Selectmen have received an invitation <br /> to a, conference to discuss the Charter and the role and direction of <br /> County government. The conference is tentatively scheduled for January <br /> 3Z, 1987 at Cape Cod Community College , <br /> 3. Reimbursement for entr to Cape Cod Regional Technical <br /> High school District. Mr. Murphy noted that the Town has received the <br /> first check from the Commonwealth for reimbursement, in the amount of <br /> $21,698. The total amount paid by the Town to enter the Vocational <br /> School District was $180,8-23. 00, Over the next several gears , the, <br /> amount of $108 ,493, 00, will be reimbursled and these funds will be de-- <br /> posited into General Funds and will be used to offset the bond issue <br /> for the new library. <br /> . Resignation re : Coastal zone AdviesorY. Board. Henryw,, <br /> Urquhart has submitted his letter of resignation to this Board. The <br /> resignation was accepted by motion of Mrs . Thomas , second.,,...�t o the motion <br /> by Mr.. Lawrence and unanimous vote . A suitable commendation for his <br /> services will be given on behalf of the Town, <br /> 5. Article for . . .�ua1 Town Meeting re : Cable TV. The <br /> proposed article will amend Sb-ction 2.1' .1 of the Town By-laws , Mr. <br /> Murphy noted that it has not been reviewed by Town Counsel at this time. <br /> The proposed article , if passed, would address a. particular situation <br /> existing with like Pirwsi , an employee of the Mashpee Middle School <br /> not a registered voter of the Town, but having valuable expertise in <br /> the area, of tele-communications . Mr. Pietrowski would consider such an <br /> appointment, Mrs * Thomas moved to insert the article on the warrant for <br /> Annual Town Meeting. Mr. Lawrence seconded the motion. Communication dated January 9 . 1987 stated <br /> that several individuals were interviewed, tested, and 'investigated <br /> and the Personnel Board recommended that Cinder Thompson be appointed <br /> to this position. Selectman Lawrence moved that Cindy Thorson be <br /> o � .� <br /> appointed e d the position n of full time dispatcher for the PoliceDepart- <br /> ment. Mrs . Thous seconded the motion and the Grote was unanimous . <br /> Mrs . Thomas pointed out that the Town By-law indicates that where a. <br /> qualified individual for an employment position does reside in the Town <br /> that individual should be given ample consideration for suchp osition, <br />
