BOARD of SELECTMEN MINUTES ADMINISTRATIVE MEETING TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 3, 1987 Present: Selectman Thomas, selectman Lawrence and Executive secretary, Joseph Murphy Absent: selectman Manson (on -vacation) Guests: Carol Costa-Crowell, Chris Harder .a.nd Tori Fukdala Selectman Thomas convened the meeting at 8 a.m. The first item of business discussed was who would do the Selectmen's report for the annual town report. It was decided that all Selectmen would put their thoughts together- and work out a report. Selectman Thomas also advised that the town report for. the water Commission was finished and would he presented for the Board's review. The second item of business was the review of -several articles' presented for March 23 special town meeting. Also present for the review was Torn Fudala. The third item was the authorization of deficit spending for snow and ice. Selectman Lawrence moved to approve the overrun of $50,.000 for snow and ice. Selectman Thomas seconded. Motion carried. Selectman Thomas asked if it would be wise to pint the recap sheet in the town report -to allow townspeople the opportunity to see just what takes place as far a money. The fourth item discussed was the recommendation from the Personnel Board axed .Police Chief relative to the appointment of a part-tune clerk for the police department. Selectmen deferred action until tomorrow night to allow time to look into whether this position is needed. Being no further business selectman Lawrence- moved to go into executive session to discuss contract negotiations with an employee. Selectman Thomas seconded.
