Eppler <br /> aid not appear for this hearing at the scheduled time nor at any <br /> time during the course of this meeting nor did any other represent- <br /> ative of that Corporation make ars appearance * <br /> 01D BUSINESS <br /> 1. The Executive secretary submitted a. draft letter <br /> to be sent to all residents as an informational communcia.tion coni- - <br /> cerning current fiscal issues . The drafting of a communication of <br /> this nature was renes ted .by the Board of Selectmen. It will e sent <br /> as a bulk mailing. After discussion, Mrs .. .awr°enc e moved that this <br /> draft letter be sent to all residents of the Town. Mrs . Thomas seconded <br /> the motion. ' The vote was unanimous . <br /> 2. Fire Department - hiring of Chief of Department. The <br /> Executive Secretary has provided the Board with job descriptions . <br /> Mr. Murphy said that he has inquired of two consultant agencies that <br /> do this type of work and both will be sending proposals to the Board. <br /> s le twoman Thomas suggested that the Personnel Administration Plan <br /> should be the umbrella, for major department heads with the Plan being <br /> modified as necessary to accomodate a, speciality. <br /> NEW BUSINESS : <br /> 1. Commonwealth Electric Company - Utility Request #1655. <br /> Mr. Murphy r stated that a. public hearing was held on April 15, 1987 at <br /> 10: 00 A. M. with Dick French appearing on behalf of the Petitioner. No <br /> one else attended the hearing which was for permission to install and <br /> maintain two joint poles and remove one joint pole on Old Barnstable <br /> Roads Selectman Lawrence moved to approve Utility Request #1655. <br /> Mrs . Thomas seconded the motion and the vote was unanimous <br /> 2& maedi.As6 . atin. letter dated April 14, 1987 <br /> has been received From John D. Boyd , President of the Association, <br /> requesting s trint enforcement of the hours of use for the public beach <br /> at l a tepee- Wa e y Pore. lir. Murphy noted that copies have been seat to <br /> the Parks and Recreation Department and to the Police Department. <br /> 3,. Special Town■ Meeting i arrant.. After appropriate motion, . <br /> duly made and seconded and unanimously carried,, the warrant for the <br /> May 11 , 1987 Special Town Meeting was executed . <br /> . Department of Public Forks re : Potholes on wading Place <br /> a. du dated April. 21,+ 1987, the Director of the W <br /> Road. In a memorandum <br /> requested that $200.00. <br /> be authorized to be expended from the Emergency , <br /> Repairs to Private Roads account to fill potholes on Wading Place Road. <br /> Selectwoman Thomas mored that the Board authorize the expenditure of <br /> $200.00. from the Emergency Repairs to Private Roads account to fill the <br /> potholes on Wading Place Road* Mrs Lawrence seconded the motion. The <br /> vote was unanimous , <br />
