i Board of selectmen Regular Meeting Wednesday, May 6, 198' Board members present : Willard Hanson, Chairman;an; B. Jean Thomas ; Peter Lawrence . Joseph Murphy, Executive secretary, was also present. Chairman Hanson convened the meeting at 7: 00 B. M. The Executive Secretary noted that there were no appointments nor hearings scheduled for this meeting, I Selectman Lawrence introduced at this time a. letter of Mary J. K. Burres , member of the Barnstable County Charter Commission, con- cerning a, possible conflict of interest of several Charter Commi- ssioners loner and in particular, Lary IeCla.ir who is the County Tr a.surer° as well as Charter Commission'er frog the Town of Mashpee . Sub- sequent ub-sequent t o the written statement of Ms . Burres , FIs , LeClair has sub- mitted her written resignation dated May 6, 1987 to the Board f Selectmen. Mr. Hanson read aloud Ms . Le lair's resignation which states in full her reasons for her regretful resignation. Motion was made by Selectwoman Thomas that the Board of Selectmen accept the resignation of Mary Le C l a i re as representative of the Town of Mas pe e to the Barnstable Counter Charter Commission. Mr. Lawrence seconded the motion. The vote was unanimous . The Board unanimously agreed to seek a replacement representative as soon as possible . OLD BUSINESS : 1. Council on Aging - Job description of the Administrator of the Council. Carol Jacobson of the Council on Aging was present to discuss the addition of educational requirements to the updated job description. She emphasized the need to fill the position by July 1, 1987a After discussion. the hoard of Selectmen unanimously agreed that this addition satisfies the requirements for a. complete job description and authorized Mr. Murphy to inform. the Personnel. Board that advertisement of this position will proceed unless the Board of Selectmen is notified by the Personnel Board that discussion between the two Boards is necessary prior' to such advertisement , 2a Regional Transit Aut ori t re : Town Representative . A written communication has been received from Joseph+ Go Potzka, Administrator of the Cape Cod Regional Transit Authority noting that Mashpee does not '.have a. representative on the Transit Authority at this time . The Authority is represented bthe Chairman f the Board of Selectmen from each town, or his r her designess , as stip- ulated bar legislation. The Board of Selectmen unan" imously agreed to defer action on this matter until after Town elections on May 9 . 1987• 3. Cable Advisory Committee re ; appointmen is . Mr. Lawrence seconded the motion. The vote was unanimous , i
