Mr. Murphy pointed out that an appointment is a. <br /> joint one by the Planning Board and the Board of selectmen and that <br /> it is premature to appoint this evening as Mr. Dubin's date of <br /> resignation has not arrived. It was unanimou'sly agreed to ad- <br /> vertise the position for two weeks and after that time meet jointly <br /> with the Planning Board to select an appointee . <br /> 3a Ambulance ser 'ice bili. - Sandra Blount. The Board of <br /> Selectmen has received a, request dated April 27P 19 from Sandra <br /> Blount requesting ars a.ba.t .r ent of an ambulance bill in the amount <br /> of $59 -00. , Account No. 1012. Mrs . Blount cited hardship as the <br /> reason for its being past due to the Town of Ma.shpee Ambulance <br /> ulance <br /> Service . Mr. Lawrence will investigate the matter and report bac <br /> to the Board. <br /> 4. George Costa reported that there were four apparently <br /> inoperable automobiles parked at the Town landfill today and ex- <br /> pressed concern about volatile materials contained in the "junked" <br /> vehicles and the precedent-setting possiblitiies of this method, <br /> of disposal of unwanted vehicles . The Board members unanimously <br /> agreed that this ratter should be referred to the Board of Health <br /> which has jurisdiction over the landfill. Deputy Chief Cooper said. <br /> that Charles Buckingham of the Board of Health had notified the <br /> Police Department to remove said vehicles <br /> WATER COMMISSION: <br /> Chairwoman Thomas submitted the weekly report ending <br /> May 4, 1987 to the Commissioners . she called attention to a memo. <br /> randum dated May 6 . 19 From the Executive secretary concerning <br /> the decision by the Falmouth Public works Commissioners to decline <br /> authorization for the Winslow Heights subdivision to be included in <br /> the Falmouth water system. Item of an agreement with the Sa.ntui. <br /> Woods Realty Trust states that the $100,000.00. donation provided by <br /> the Trust will be refunded to it if the Town of Falmouth declined <br /> to allow either the Town distribution system or the santuit woods <br /> Realty Trust distribution system at Winslow Heights to be conlaected <br /> to their distribution system. Mrs Lawrence moved to accomplish this <br /> p � <br /> refund as follows : Whereas, Santuit woods Realty Trust has donated <br /> the sum of $100,000.00, to the Town of I a.shpee , check dated 3/19/87; <br /> axed, whereas t the Town of Falmouth has denied permission to connect <br /> to their water distribution system; now therefore ,, the Iowa of lashpee <br /> will hereby refund the $100.,,,000.00,.r ' donation to sa tuit woods Realty <br /> Trust. The motion was seconded by Mrs Hanson, The vote was unanimous. <br /> Mrs . Thomas stated that Summerwood Condominiums Building 1 <br /> well has been shutdown. Building 14 will reoie e water from Building <br /> 13. <br />
