Board of selectmen <br /> Regular Meeting <br /> Wednesday, May 27 , 1987 <br /> Present : Chairman, B. Jean Thomas ; Jeremy Carter; Andrew Gottlieb; <br /> 111ard Danson; Peter Lawrence . Joyce Mason, Administrative Assistant, <br /> was also present. Executive Secretary, Joseph Murphyv was absent* <br /> Chairman Thomas convened the meeting at 2: 00 B. M'. <br /> Mr. Gottlieb noted that the minutes of the Regular beefing oflay 20, <br /> 1987 should be corrected on Page Four, Paragraph 9 to read f ' , . o the <br /> meeting to be held during the last week of the month will be held on <br /> Monday convening at 3: 00 P. M. " . lir. lawrence moved that the minutes <br /> of the Regular Meeting of May 20, 1987 be accepted as corrected and <br /> that the minutes of the Executive Sessions held on May 20, 1987 also <br /> e accepted. Mr.. Ha .sori seconded the motion. The vote was unanimous . <br /> APPOINTMENTS AND HEARINGS <br /> 1. South CapeL uor - con inuance o hea.rin . This <br /> hearing concerning a revoca.�t on of the All-Alcoholic Beverage <br /> Package store License , license being held by Rotary Liquors of Mashpee <br /> i <br /> d/b/a South Cape Liquors , was continued on April 22, 1987 o permit <br /> the licensee a, further opportunity to negotiate an agreement with other <br /> pasties in regard to the transfer of the license. Attorney Robert i�li l <br /> ,eras present this date representing south Cape liquors . Mr. Carter <br /> .tepped down from the Board for the duration of this hearing due to a <br /> P' s s i l e conflict of interest. Mr. Mills said that an agreement has <br /> been reached with sea. Breeze Liquors , Inc . which operates under the <br /> auspices o f Fields Point Corporation and he asked that h e revocation <br /> hearing be terminated, Mra Lawrence moved d that the revo c ti ori hearing <br /> on South Cape Liquors be closed. Mr. Gottlieb seconded the motion, <br /> !r. Carter abstained due to reasons noted above , Mr. Hanson and <br /> Mr,s.. Thomas were in favor. The hearing was closed at 2:30 P. Me <br /> Transfer of license to sea. Breeze Liquors , Inc. Hearin <br /> g <br /> was opened for the purpose of transferring the All-Alcoholic Beverages <br /> Package Store License held by Rotary Liquors Of Naas hpe e d/b/a South <br /> Cape Liquors tO Sea Breeze Liquors, Inca Douglas Storrs , President <br /> of Sea Breeze Liquors , Inc . was present. Attorney Yaffe was present <br /> for Fields Point Corporation. Chairwoman Thomas noted that this hearing <br /> was advertised on May 18,. 198' -in local newspapers . Mrs Yaffe stated <br /> that the Premises es arae currently undergoing re-construction and the <br /> operating space will be approximately 1,200 s . ft. smaller. Plans <br /> have been filed with the Town Clerk. Mr. Storrs stated that the agree- <br /> ment between the parties has not as yet been finalized but will be very <br /> shortly. lir. Storrs neglected to ring evidence of need States citi- <br /> zenship <br /> ti- <br /> enship <br /> to this hearing as required by law. Selectman La.wrenc e moved <br /> that this transfer is contingent upon the actual execution of the agree- <br /> ment and the receipt the B e g <br /> � card Selectmen f the proof of United <br /> States citizenship of Mr. Storrs axed will not become effective until <br /> these conditions are satisfactorily met. Mr. Hanson seconded the mot]-on <br /> r. Carter abstained from voting. lir. Gottlieb and Mrs. Thomas were in <br /> favor of this motion, <br />
