MashRee River woodlands Management Committee <br /> written complaint has been received from this Committee dated <br /> May 26 , 1987 concerning deposits of heavy-duty trashed objects <br /> such as mattresses ,, springs , charred logs , and old furniture . <br /> This is a recent deposit made on or about May 16 , 1987 on the <br /> utility road off Quinaquisset Avenue , This letter also detailed <br /> old deposits of heavy-duty trash. The Committee pointed out that <br /> this type of trash is no longer acceptable at the Town disposal <br /> area. The Committee has sent copies of their communication to the <br /> Board of Health, Conservation Commission, and the Department of <br /> Public Works . The Executive secretary suggested that in order to <br /> assist the enforcement process , it would be helpful to utilize <br /> e <br /> the non-criminal disposition process . Under- such a process , a <br /> citation could be issued for violations and a. person could b <br /> charged with -and make e payment of afine without 'going through a <br /> criminal process . 'ter further discussi0 on, . it was unanimously <br /> agreed that this is becoming major concern a d a. joint meeting <br /> will be scheduled with the Board of Selectmen, the Board of Health, <br /> and the Director of Public Works , <br /> 9. Barnstable County Selectmen'sAssoc . The Association <br /> has announced the annual outing to be h"el�d at North Beach in Chatham <br /> o be held on Friday, June 19, 1987. Mr. Murphy will make e appro-priate reservations . <br /> lo, Department of Public works - recommendation of <br /> promotion. The Director of the Department recommended to the Board <br /> of selectmen in a memorandum dated May 29 , 1987 that George Maddox y <br /> fill the -promotional position 'of Truck Driver, Class II and that <br /> his wage be $8.20. per hour at the Step 4 rate to become effective <br /> July 1 , 1987. Mr. Hanson moved that the Board of Selectmen approve <br /> the recommendation of lir# Virgilio as presented. Mr. Carter seconded <br /> the motion. The vote was unanimous . <br /> 11. Council on Aging - resignation, r. Murphy stated <br /> that a. letter of resignation has been received this date from Joan <br /> Kimber, Council on Aging outreach worker. Ms . Kimber notifies that <br /> this resignation is effective as of the close of business on June 19 , <br /> 1987. Mr. Hanson moved t o- accept the resignation of Joan Kimber <br /> effective June 19, 1987.
