Mr. Lawrence roved that Petition known as U z tat Request #87-30 be granted. Mr. -Carter seconded the motion. The vote was unanimous 3. A memorandum dated July 29, y 198 as well as an addendum to that memorandumdated same date , were received from the Chief of Police . The Chief reported that the Design Review Commi- ttee; Douglas Boyd , Building Inspector, the Deputy Chief of Police and himself have met on several occasions to interview firms that had presented proposals for the architectural services . The Annual Town meeting appropriated funds for the first phase of the archi- tectural rchi-tectura.l design. The Committee recommended three choices , first choice being Gaffney Associates , Hyannis , AVIA. Mrs Lawrence moved that Gaffney Associates of Danis be appointed to provide the Town. of 1 ashpee with architectural servie ces in designing an addition to the existing polise station. Mr. Gottlieb seconded the motj*.on. The vote was unanimous . . Senior Citizens Center Deck. The Director of the Department of Public Works submitted a memorandum of July 21, 1987 noting that the bids for the Senior Citizens Center for materials have been revsewed by him. Mr. Virgilio recommended that the bid of Eastern lumber Co. be accepted, bye-virtua, of being the lowest bid. Mr. Virgilio also stated that, in his opinion,$3 ,o 0 0. will be a. sufficient amount for a deck contractor, and that a 10% contingency for unexpected items be appropriated for this project. Mr. Lawrence Eastern Lumber Co. be awarded the bid for material for the Senior Citizens Center. Mr. Manson seconded the motion. The rote , was un- animous . Eastern Lumber Co. 's bid is for° $2 ,925,75, 5. Request for legal services . South Cape Beach Advisory Committee has requested the attendance of Town Counsel at their meeting to be held on August to, 1987 at 7:30 P, M. to discuss a matter con- cerning Great oak Roade lir, x a rfenc moved that the Board of Selectmen approve the request o ' South Cape Beach Advisory Committee to discuss a, pending ratter with Town Counsel before their Board on August 10 , 1987.
