A memorandum dated July 29, y 198 as well as an <br /> addendum to that memorandumdated same date , were received from the <br /> Chief of Police . The Chief reported that the Design Review Commi- <br /> ttee; Douglas Boyd , Building Inspector, the Deputy Chief of Police <br /> and himself have met on several occasions to interview firms that <br /> had presented proposals for the architectural services . The Annual <br /> Town meeting appropriated funds for the first phase of the archi- <br /> tectural <br /> rchi-tectura.l design. The Committee recommended three choices , first <br /> choice being Gaffney Associates , Hyannis , AVIA. Mrs Lawrence moved <br /> that Gaffney Associates of Danis be appointed to provide the Town. <br /> of 1 ashpee with architectural servie ces in designing an addition to <br /> the existing polise station. Mr. Gottlieb seconded the motj*.on. The <br /> vote was unanimous . <br /> . Senior Citizens Center Deck. The Director of the <br /> Department of Public Works submitted a memorandum of July 21, 1987 <br /> noting that the bids for the Senior Citizens Center for materials <br /> have been revsewed by him. Mr. Virgilio recommended that the bid of <br /> Eastern lumber Co. be accepted, bye-virtua, of being the lowest bid. <br /> Mr. Virgilio also stated that, in his opinion,$3 ,o 0 0. will be a. <br /> sufficient amount for a deck contractor, and that a 10% contingency <br /> for unexpected items be appropriated for this project. Mr. Lawrence <br /> Eastern Lumber Co. be awarded the bid for material for the Senior <br /> Citizens Center. Mr. Manson seconded the motion. The rote , was un- <br /> animous . Eastern Lumber Co. 's bid is for° $2 ,925,75, <br /> 5. <br /> Request for legal services .
