i i BOARD of SELECTMEN MINUTES MONDAY, OCTOBER- 5. 198 E ULAN SESSION Present: Selectman Thomas,- Selectman:,Lawrence-, Selectman. Hanson and Selectman Gottlieb as well as Executive- Secretary, Joseph F. Murphy I Guests: Ernie Virgilio, Joyce Nowell, Robert Sullo, Lincoln DeMoura, James O'Hara, iehard Halpern, Leonard Gobeil, Robert Mills, Janice Mills, Donna Blethen, Elizabeth Petti', Ernest Roberts, John Saunders Mary Scanlon, Kathleen Perry, William Burtis, Joanne -Ferragamo, Anthony Fiorentini, Lew Schwartz, David Ryan and Vernon Thomas. Selectman Thomas convened the meeting at 7 p.m. MINUTES Selectman Gottlieb moved to accept the September 1 , 1987 executive session as printed. Selectman Lawrence .seconded the motion. All were- in favor. APPOINTMENTS & HEARINGS 7:00 - The Board of Selectmen acting at the Licensing Board for the Town conducted a public hearing- ori. a proposed amendment to the Licensing Board regulations. The proposed amendment would read "No License shall be open less than 25 hours per geek from December through April". No one in attendance commented on this matter. Selectman Hanson moved to adopt the proposed amendment. Selectman Gottlieb seconded the motion-. All present were in favor. OLD BUSINESS 1 Mr. Virgilio submitted to the Board a list of mads that would not be plowed. Also submitted was a draft letter which would be sent -to the associations advising them of the decision not to plow the roads. Selectman Lawrence moved to send a co-sponsored letter based on Mr. Virgilio's road review. Selectman Hanson seconded the motion. All present were in favor. Mr. Murphy and Mr. Virgilio will work on draf ting- a letter* The Board discussed the- possibility -of having - the letter go out with the tax bills. Mr. Murphy will talk to the Tax Collector regarding this. APPOINTMENTS & HEARINGS 7: 15 - Selectmen conducted a public hearing on the request of The Flume to close from November 23 until January 5.
