Thomas, Gottlieb, Manson and Lawrence, and Executive Secretary, <br /> .Joseph F. Murphy <br /> Selectman Carter arrived at 7: 16 p.m. <br /> Guests: Maureen McKay, Mary- buddy, Dr. DeMoura, Janice Mills, Charles Stone, <br /> Richard Martini, Jeff Willis, George Baker, Sheldon Hamblin, Arthur <br /> oury of the Professional Firefighters Association of Massachusetts, <br /> Deputy Cooper and Chief Frye <br /> Selectman Thomas convened the meeting at 7 p.m. <br /> APPOINTMENTS & HEARINGS <br /> 7;00 - Selectmen held a joint meeting with members of the School Committee <br /> to fill the vacancy on the School Committee left by the resignation <br /> f Robert O'Regan. <br /> Selectman Hanson roved to appoint James T. Conery to fill the vacancy <br /> on the School Committee left by Robert O'Regan's resignation. Selectman <br /> Gottlieb seconded the motion. Selectmen Gottlieb, Hanson, Lawrence and <br /> Thomas were in favor. <br /> Maureen McKay moved to appoint Nares T. Conery to fill the vacancy <br /> on the School Committee left by Robert o'Regan's resignation, <br /> Janice Mills seconded the motion. All present were in favor. <br /> Selectman. Hanson moved to appoint Robert Fernald, Gerald Joiner, Charles <br /> P. Liberty, Holly MacDonald, .Maureen -McKay, Patricia L_. Parols .i and <br /> Kay Perry as Directors of the Community School. Selectman Gottlieb <br /> seconded the motion. All present were in favor. <br /> Selectmen met with Mr. -Ferguson relative to their vote of November 9 <br /> on the award .of the school -construction contract. <br /> Mr. Ferguson asked the Board to reconsider it original vote to remove <br /> the phrase that the contract b.e contingent upon the state paying <br /> 70 percent of the cost of the .facility. Mr. Ferguson related the <br /> school construction legislation is tied up in the legislature and the <br /> Town must start construction immediately. <br /> After further discussion the Board deferred action until next weep to <br /> allow Mr. Ferguson to gather further information from the State and <br /> to allow Mr. Murphy the time to look into the t-ime frame of the bid. <br /> 7:21 - Selectmen met with Mr. Shaughnessy who gage his final report on the <br /> Library and transferred the accounts. Mr. Shaughnessy asked that the <br /> Board-disband-.the Library Building Committee as heir work is completed. <br />
