OLD BUSINESS <br /> ' ' <br /> Selectman 'Hanson � <br /> anson asked for the status bf the dredgjLng ` <br /> project as thereappears to be a large pipe still <br /> out at the site . <br /> ' <br /> Selectman Carter advised the project was complete and <br /> will check oh the pipe . <br /> APPOINTMENTS & HEARINGS <br /> 4: 15 - Seleectmen conducted a public hearing on the request <br /> of Mashpee Wampenoag Indian Tribal Council Inc . to <br /> renew their shellfish grant located off Gooseberry <br /> Island in Popponesset Bay . <br /> Mr . Mills representative of the Council presented <br /> pictures showing the grant area as well as pro- <br /> . . duction cages . Mr . Mills explained that they <br /> had both Oyster and Quahogs but would only be <br /> continuing the Quahogs as the Oysters did not do <br /> well . Mr . Mills requested the grant be renewed ' <br /> for ten years . <br /> Dave Ryan the Shellfish Constable recommended the <br />! 'Board renew the grant for 10 years . <br /> Selectman Gottlieb moved to renew the shellfish <br /> grant of the Mashpee Wampanoag Indian Tribal <br />� <br /> Council Inc . located off Gooseberry Island for <br />/ ten years . Selectman Carter seconded the motion <br />� All were in favor. <br /> 4um25 Selectmen met with Wendy Rubin to cuss various <br /> issues of the Parks & Recreation Department . <br /> The f-irst issue discussed was the bleachers <br /> at the field , Selectman Carter stated he did <br /> not feel there would be a problem for the next <br /> three months t 1f they are not finished by <br /> March 15 they should be dismantled . <br /> agreedSelectmen to send a letter to Phil of <br /> the Cape Cod Bears telling him of the deadline , <br /> issueThe second discussed was the Parks & <br /> Recreation Advisory Committee By-Laws . Ms . <br /> Rubin ed the membership be lowered <br /> members with 3 for a quorum with <br /> stagered terms of two years . <br /> Selectman Carter moved to accept the amendments <br /> to the Parks & Recreation Advisory Committee <br /> Selectman Gottlieb seconded the motion , <br />
